This is at the UELN in OH. This was a simple 2 step for a wedding (the couple is in the middle) but because of UELN's commitment to education and participation, the dance included EVERYONE -- visitor and tribe member alike. So it was kept simple. There are dancers who do a wedding dance for the cpl but this was just so that EVERYONE could feel they participated in the wedding, in the same way that the whole village would participate in a true native wedding. And no, I didn't post it.
Hello bradt4ever, If the truth be known, they are truly trying to do an "Honor Dance" for the couple that was just married. However, they have always done cultural things/dances/events their "own way", so that is probably why everyone is a little confused. Not quite right, a bit off, and not truly a Lenape Traditional dance. The ones who posted this may have been a by-stander or one of their UELN members?
If anyone has any info on the drum PLEASE TELL ME! I heard them once at a powwow and thought they were amazing but couldnt find the name of the drum group
I would love to see this dance in it's real form. This is definitely a two step, somewhat comical. I wish I could see who was performing. Small taste of what could be amazing to hear and see. Thanks for posting.
what in the heck is this? lenape wedding dance? im from oklahoma and ive yet to see or even hear of something like this? who posted this video anyways? claim it if ya did it !
@chehpah it looks like grand entry to me based on the number of people since ive never seen so many in a ring at one time unless its grand entry, but i dont think its that either because theres no veterans carrying flags, maybe its an intertribal?

Also would like to see it performed in native Lenape land, like New York.

This looks like a two step not a wedding dance.

@deviouslikeyou
Might have been an innocent person taking a video of something they thought
was cultural, neat and/or real. Maybe a UELN member taking a video for
their own records.
Is not a Two-Step, wrong beat/wrong steps. Not a Round/Ghost dance,
wrong beat/wrong steps. Not a Blanket Dance either. So, who is to say?
Looking at the faces it has something to do with the United Eastern Lenape
Nation of Astabula, Ohio. They are at UELN.com
Does this help you a little?
