@fronchfries Been in telecom for 3 years here and same thing. There's just no reason for a home user to get a t1 now that things like cable or dsl available to most of the population. People in rural areas can get satellite or cellular evdo. Now rewind this 11 years...i wanted a t1 back then and the phone company wouldn't even quote me a price for residential unless i was running a business out of my home.

@Freshoffdahoodbro Its plenty fast for gaming. Even though this episode came out in 2009, its STILL plenty fast for gaming. Average ADSL is 768/124, and ITS fine for gaming. T1 gives you 1.544 BOTH ways. You didnt have an upload speed that fast in 2001 without paying $1000s a month for it. Even today, the average cable connection only gives .98 mb/s upload speed. Basically what im saying is, stop trying to look cool on the internet, cause your not :P

I hope you know that a megabit is 1/8 of a megabyte. Therefore, 1.544 megabits = 0.193 megabytes. Seems about what I had 10 years ago, and NO, I DIDN'T PAY $1000 per month.

Megabits is what is used to measure your internet speed, or what some people might call bandwidth. Not Mega Bytes My current connection shows 14.40 Mbps down and .97 Mbps up. So a T1 would actually give me a slightly faster upload speed. Really its very good for gaming, and multiple users ALL get that 1.544 Mbps speed! Thats why Codex is tripping about it. Mbps = MegaBitsPerSecond

So you can have 23 of your best guildys show up for a raid at your house and you ALL get the same connection speed!! Yeah, a T1 is great for gaming. 10 years ago, it would run about $1000 a month. Today, $269 a month. Truthfully, for single player, basic ADSL or Cable is just fine. The people that need all the speed are the video/music download addicts.
