what is the kind of music they are playing on the backgorund. i ve watched other halling performances too , mainly from FRİKAR and they all have the same type of music playing on the background. i think it's norwegian folk music but it doesnt' t show up when i google it . I would can somebody help me please.. i guess only the norwegian's help would be useful at this point. so i'll wait and see what comes up.. oh and it d be nice if u give some names that who makes this type of music.THANKS!
It's a 'Hardanger Fiddle' (in Norwegian: hardingfele); a violin with 4-5 extra resonance strings (they play just the 'normal' 4). Try googling that ;). The dance is indeed called Hallingdansen, or Laus, as jonasett said.

burugogorra68 2 years ago
WTF
jonasett 2 years ago
Soy china. No entiendo ingles.

jonasett 2 years ago
Los solteros se aburren
y beben
burugogorra68 2 years ago
No parece Noruego.
Parece más danza del ejército ruso.

Hey! This type of dancing was endemic in the mountainous regions of Norway since the dark ages - long before anything called "the russian army"!
The purpose of this dance was a competition of athletic elements - to get prestige and(of course) to impress the girls.

It's a special type of folk musik called halling. For other nordic folk music try searching for 'Hoven Droven', 'Frigg' and 'Majorstuen'.

The music is not called Halling. It's Norwegian folk music. But the dance is called Halling. I'm actually from Hallingdal.

Sorry, my bad. The dance is called "laus".

I don't know about Norway, but in Sweden halling is the name for both the dance and music.
