i love my double edge safety razor, i save so much money when it comes to blades. all these 3 blade,4 blade, 5 blade razors are so retarded, all it takes is one well sharpened blade to shave your face, thats how my grandpa did it, thats how my dad does it, and that's how i'm doing it.

This razor is to expensive. The costs of the razorbladecartridges of the gillette fusion power is the reason I switched to shaving with a good old safety razor. Safety razor blades a much cheaper and will give you a better shave without skinirritation.

@tupacshakur5633 I used Mach 3 Turbo for ages and thought it was amazing, but Hydro 3 is 50 times better. Use it with some liquid shave gel in a tube or shave oil and it's so comfortable. You can't even feel the blades, it's like shaving with a feather. Mach 3 is like shaving with sandpaper in comparison. Also Hydro 3 cartridges are much cheaper than Mach 3 and Fusion, and they last longer.

well actually by reducing the spacing between the blades they make it hard for hairs go get between the blades so they can be cut. not to mention that this reduction in spacing makes the blade clog all the time and you have to unclog it. Sorry Gillette but you fuked up - more than 3 is BS

Merkur Double edge razor, and wet shaving. Look into it. Mantic 59 on youtube will open your eyes. I save so much money shaving now it's comical. Gillete doesn't get a fucking dime of my money anymore!! Blades are 5-10 cents a pop, last 7-10 shaves each, the Merkur handles will last 3-4 generations no problem, and shaving soaps and cremes. no more canned goop. Just look into it, there are other options, I promise!!

You are absolutely right!! The blades of the fusion are just so close to each other and make shaving of relatively small beard much irritating and hurtful for me than Mach 3! I just compared the two of them and Mach 3 gave much softer shaving. Fusion feels like pulling your skin off!

narrowing the gap between the 5 blade razors means more hair/stubble that gets clogged between the blades. Wake up Gillette! I been using Atra Plus for 25 years now ( the 2 blade razors)

Ok, i've always used an electric razor just for time and handyness. I felt i wasn't getting a great shave from it though, so today i treated myself to a gillette fusion. Maybe it's just me but i felt it REALLY pulls the hairs on your face, and that was just shaving a bit of stubble. It's not all that comfortable but it does give a good shave. And before some idiot says did you use shaving foam/gel, of course i did.

It does pull the hairs, even with great lather and prep. The first couple of blades pull the hairs up, and the others do the cutting.

A sharp single blade razor just cuts the hair.

Sorry but this is marketing nonsense. Adding more and more blades to each razor does nothing to make your shaves better.

Good shaving is all about prep and lather. If you do this right then an older model will shave you just fine.
