  • Charlie Watts is fucking insane on this track!!!

  • Hermoso tema!!!!

  • i take exception with the term...a little cracklin rocker. i would call it, a fantastic huge rocker from the Stones. tell me another song that swings like this,,, that they did..huh?

  • @CHUCKLOVES1969 You forgot the word 'great' between 'A' and 'little'...I gave it a thumbs up and you took exception to how I worded it. Wow! I think I might, I guess apologize?...ummm...sure, ok.

  • Some kind of wonder ful movie, great!!!

  • I named my daughter after this song....32 years ago....and she's still going strong.....After all...it's only Rock+Roll....But I like it... :-)

  • My mom's name is Amanda Jones! Wooo :D

  • she was a transexual, really

  • It was about Amanda Lear, who dated Brian Jones!

  • this song is about amanda lear! :)

  • they must be singing about you :-) if not it's your song now.

  • cette chanson a été écrite pour Amanda LEAR qui est présentatrice en France et qui a fréquente Brian JONES

  • @amelie100able This song's been written for Amanda Lear who's been dating Brian Jones. She's a singer who topped German and Italian charts with a string of European hit singles such as Follow Me, Queen of Chinatown, Blood and Honey, ...

  • ....and 'Something happened to me yesterday' ( Rainy Day Woman). That track is melodically like 'High Time' by Paul Jones, a hit single in the UK around that time. Blonde On Blonde was on Keith's record player at the time of the 'Redlands' drug bust, I read

  • @TinyMontgomery204 I agree with you. At the time this wasn't a critical success in the UK like AFTERMATH had been and it's obvious why. Much of the material is weak, with some highlights. It's definitely more 'British' contemporary than Aftermath in some of it's style, hence the comparisons to The Kinks. However, I see it influenced by a favourite album of The Stones at the time, Dylans' Blonde On Blonde e.g. 'She Smiled Sweetly' (Sad eyed lady), 'Who's been sleeping' (Visions of Johanna) ....

  • I think Between the Buttons is one of their most English albums, probably the last real English one they did. Amazon UK reviews say that,.

  • This is what Rock and Roll is supposed to be. Its supposed to push the boundaries, be honest, and be fun and not unauthentic. THESE GUYS ARE THE REAL DEAL!!!

  • I love the sloppiness and spontaneousness of this record. The Stones Really are the Greatest band Ever. They are about attitude and POWER!!!! and They def have both. This stuff isn't neurotically over produced, or so overly polished as if they are trying not to come under fire of the critics due to paranoia. Its just the Stones having fun and experimenting with their sound. Well the experiment was a successs!!!!!

  • Haha, i went to high school with a girl named Amanda Jones.

  • My name is Amanda Jones!

  • @LaEmpressChic Does the girl beside you look a bit unsure?

  • I don't remember the Stones ever doing a song that I didn't like.

  • @1blastman Hot Stuff...sputter, cough, blechhh! IMO

  • @musicaldun1 dude....watch the Hot Stuff live version on here....fuckin sick...blows the album away....heheheh, also Mick is at his effeminate "maybe ill do a guy too" peak in the vid

  • @musicaldun1 Hot Stuff's great.

  • Kick ass song. I love it.

  • @musicaldun1 For what it's worth, she's nothing like Paris Hilton. Amanda Lear speaks fluently five languages. She was a model (muse of Ossie Clarck and Mary Quant), a singer, she hosted TV-shows in France, Italy and Germany and she was Salvador Dali's muse. Paris Hilton wish she could be like her.

Amanda Lear just pretends to be dumb because she's tall and blonde and used to be beautiful.

  • @musicaldun1 Connection's great.

  • @musicaldun1 Mick Jagger on Between the Buttons, direct quote - "Oh, I hate that fucking album".

  • Decent song - ruined by a horrible middle eight. Between The Buttons is a personal favorite of mine, but you can easily tell why this is not considered one of their better LPs.

  • @TinyMontgomery204 You couldn't be more wrong. One of their best Chuck inspired tunes. Great melody, amazing rhythm guitar. That's why they used it in the John Hughes movie.

  • @peterzang K.

  • @TinyMontgomery204 hehehe...dude...the stones are notorious for aweful bridges in awesome songs...gotta take em for what they are

  • @fmxkool K.

  • i love how keith (from some kind of wonderful) is spinning round and round when that part comes on in the song!

  • my name is Amanda Jones :D

  • Amanda Jones is a french and italian comedian, Amanda Lear, who used to hang out with Brian Jones

  • i have a cool fucking name!

  • @amazingaapril Okay...alright...but, what name do you use when you're not fucking?

  • There are 3,174 people in the U.S. named Amanda Jones.

  • @ScreamTheRequiem What a cool bit of useless trivia! Bill Smith and John Johnson thank you...

  • @ScreamTheRequiem My last post sounded like I was knocking your post. Not at all! It's cool.

  • @musicaldun1 My comment was actually longer, but it wouldn't post, so I decided on just that. And yeah, I know it's useless, but I figured the whole "Amanda Jones is my name too" seems even more useless.

  • @ScreamTheRequiem LOL! Yeah, 3,174 of those posts WOULD suck! Ahhh, who am I kidding? If 3,174 people said, "My name's Amanda Jones too" then that would mean my video is getting a pretty good saturation level throughout... Post away, ladies! And any guys named Amanda Jones can chip in as well...

    Oh yeah...Mr./Mrs./Ms.Scream?...thanks for your input!

  • @musicaldun1 Ms.....Scream....lol...you're welcome, I guess

  • heyyyyy my name is amanda jones! hah(:

  • @amandapandajones My name is Amanda Moyto :( Im unworthy of the jones :((((

  • @amandapandajones ah me to! *highfive?*

  • is said to be dedicated to AMANDA LEAR ..........

  • One of their most charming and endearing tunes. A personal favorite from way back.

  • I use to play this tune on lp all the time when I was a kid!!

  • best with brian as you can hear all over this record which is fab

  • Classic Brian Jones/Keith Richards sound. This is probably the first great example of the ancient art of guitar weaving that the Stones developed, if not created. And a great example of early Stones lyrics - a cut above, and cutting!

  • @stevelunney Yeah baby. But you can certainly hear the punch-ins and shit. Sloppy band. And the greatest!

  • my cousins name is Amanda Jones.

and her brothers name is Mike Jones. Lol

  • @SimplyBecoming5764 a chick in my class is named amanda jones. and there is a mike jones at my old high school.

  • @dukeyxxyz haha really?! thats too ironic! Lol

  • it's a song like this...that proves the Stones were the greatest Rock N Roll band of the 1960's.....

i was there kids... yes they were a better rock band than the Beatles. the Beatles were and always will be the Best band in the world,,

but this song is one example of why,,the Stones ruled the world of Rock.!!!

  • @CHUCKLOVES1969

    wow, well said chuck.

  • @jaderdavila thanks for the nice comment. i reread what i had said, and im glad you understood what i ment. to clarify, the Stones were like the Rock n Roll house band that could Rock the roof off all night long at the bar. no other band was as good and technically they were creative and full of surprizes. But when the Beatles were in town, there was no bouncer at the door, no age limit, and everyone was welcome to see and hear the band that everyone loved, from little kids to their parents.

  • HEY GIRL, DID YOU REALIZE THE MONEY INVESTED IN YOU? HEY GIRL, YOU JUST GOTTA FIND SOMEONE WHO'D REALLY PULL YOUR FAMILY THROUGH~

    CLASSIC!

  • I didn't know this song existed. So odd. Now I know where I got my name...

  • @AmandaEJones lol my name is amanda jones too!

  • I showed this to my mom and she said that if she'd known it existed when I was born that she'd never have named me amanda :( think it's a great song, even despite my name bein in it, because the Rolling Stones rule

  • One of the best sounding guitar tones of the '60s! Nice one!

  • SWINGIN PUNCHY Stonesss, very niceee

  • @FISHMUSIC4U Yeah...what he said.

  • was this suppost to be about Anita Pallenberg? since Jones was Brian's last name. Therefore Miss Amanda Jones could be Miss Anita Jones.

  • great song
