It's definitely more 'British' contemporary than Aftermath in some of it's style, hence the comparisons to The Kinks. However, I see it influenced by a favourite album of The Stones at the time, Dylans' Blonde On Blonde e.g. 'She Smiled Sweetly' (Sad eyed lady), 'Who's been sleeping' (Visions of Johanna) ....

Classic Brian Jones/Keith Richards sound. This is probably the first great example of the ancient art of guitar weaving that the Stones developed, if not created. And a great example of early Stones lyrics - a cut above, and cutting!
@jaderdavila thanks for the nice comment. i reread what i had said, and im glad you understood what i ment. to clarify, the Stones were like the Rock n Roll house band that could Rock the roof off all night long at the bar. no other band was as good and technically they were creative and full of surprizes. But when the Beatles were in town, there was no bouncer at the door, no age limit, and everyone was welcome to see and hear the band that everyone loved, from little kids to their parents.
I showed this to my mom and she said that if she'd known it existed when I was born that she'd never have named me amanda :( think it's a great song, even despite my name bein in it, because the Rolling Stones rule
