  • LOOKS SCARY!

  • Just about to puke!!

no way! Who would do this??!!

  • Impresionante

  • I am a ruined man after having this procedure done over a year ago, they kept telling me it would get better but it has'nt. My life is a living nightmare because I choose to get this surgery. Post lasik my eyes are unbearably dry all the time and my vision is terrible especially at night. Don't trust the lasik docs they are in this to make money and if they told you the truth about the misery that this procedure can create. Keon Nia destroyed my eyes and my life.

  • cuestion dioptrias ?? cenquio

  • I don't speak Spanish but I think your question was what is my prescription. I do not know as never had glasses. All I can say is 2 years on and I can still read the phone book :) and this should not change for many years as explained in the info.... my left eye is permanently focused at about 12 inches

  • lasik monovision soacks

  • Lasik is the WORST known procedure than anyone can do to a cornea. The Lying Lasik Doctors make you sign a INFORMED CONSENT FORM so you can't sue them. It protects the doctors and SCREWS the patient who is paying these ass....s to look out for the patient not their wallets. The FLAP is a permanent scar on your cornea, accelerates dry eye and ectasia, and there is NO KNOWN CURE. Google: lasikflap, lifeafterlasik, lasik suicides, lasik lies, lasik lawsuits.

  • Hey dkantis.

I See you still haven't removed that lemon from your mouth :)

    What ? Can't see it ?

How about some Lasik surgery ? :)

  • My eyes felt like a thousand needles were sticking me and my eyes were uncontrolably tearing for the first day...then about a week later the pain subsided. Every year my eyes get dryer and dryer and the industry, knowing this problem, markets $100/month Restasis drops which don't help and hurt the long term health of one's eyes. Every year, your eyes are going to feel dryer like they are dying from the inside out...i hope i'm wrong, but after speaking with thousands of LASIK patients, i'm not.

  • WILL YOU STOP IT?! you have been spreading this all over the eye surgery links. just because of one incident it doesn't mean EVERY doctor(lasik) is gonna make a mess out of your vision/eyes.

  • WADFINE: The FDA had an emergency LASIK meeting on April 25th, 2008 in Wash, DC because they NOW KNOW there are long term damages to every LASIK procedure. Don't you think it's important to know that there are about 600,000 ruined Americans from LASIK who are suicidal, fly our airplanes, can't see well at night or see double images, can't sleep at night have DryEYE pain, getting divorced, I don't know anyone who wore contacts that lost everything, do you? Google this and see for yourself!

  • know what Dkantis?

I let you post here because everyone has a right to be heard, but you are abusing the privlege. Anyone would think this is your video.... Well it isn't. You have had more than enough space to air your views, now go away and don't come back, or I may rethink my views on freedom of speech and delete all your posts. ok :)

  • 気持ち悪いな

  • FACT 1, the flap never heals and there is a sespool of crap burried under the surface. FACT 2, you are guaranteed to have 80 percent corneal nerve loss. FACT 3, many patients are committing suicide because of loss of vision. FACT 4, lying lasik doctors are NOT giving complete informed consent. FACT 5, you are guaranteed to have problems for the rest of your life from creating a permanently scarred corneal flap.

  • Lasik surgery has ruined the vision of Tiger Woods exgirlfriend Kashmira Karanjia, Regis Philbin, Kathy Griffin to name just a few. Tiger Wood's vision has also required further "enhancements" which are NOT a good sign. Google lasik suicide, lasik disasters, lasik lawsuits, lasik fraud, lasik dry eye syndrome, lasik evil, lasik conspiracy, and you will understand why!

  • You are still bitter. Aren't you ? :)

Again sorry for whatever bad experience you or someone you know have had but I am still extremely happy. Get all the facts and make a decision. Case closed :)

  • OMG, and that not hurt??

  • Surprisingly. No. Local anesthesia must work ok. :)

  • gorgeous eyes!

  • What are you talking about???After the operation the doctor inserts cool water inside the eye and that's when the pain is auful!!!

  • You must be remembering your operation, not mine :)

  • Yes I did this operation 3 years before and it was really painful when he put cold water in your eyes!!!

It is also disgusting because it smells like burn when the laser passes through your eye!!!Bliah!!!

  • freaky

  • Now is not the time to have refractive surgery in the United States. European patients have access to far better lasers, topographers, etc. Ask your doctor when the US FDA will approve the 1000 Hz iVIS laser platform so you can receive the smoothest ablation available today, for the best post-op vision. If enough patients demand the better technology, docs will pressure the FDA to approve it.

  • get intralase then the flap heals. DUH

im going to get my wavefront intralase with optical express tmz!

  • do you feel anything, or do they medicate the eye so you wont?

  • No. Not really. There are drops put in at the start to help anesthatize, but there was a little discomfort with the jig to keep the eye open.

No worse than going to the dentist

  • dude! it looked so scary!! waa! tell me did it hurt when they sliced litle skin off and i saw they pushed the metal thing realy hard on your eye!!! aaa! and did it hurt when they were touching your eye with spoge??? :(

  • Nope. No Pain. just strange sensation

  • It seems to me your DR did a very good job, and he cares very much about the eye. Nice clean job and used the light very well in his procedure :)

  • i like the color of the eye but then again i all most gotsick in the first 25sec

  • OMG.. did they just remove the skin over your eyeball!?

    isn't that excruciatingly painful?

  • yuck! i cant watch! I saw this on break the other minet! Eww! It made me sick!

  • Lasik Dr's! Are you informing the patients that the flap you create is permanent and how only 20% of the corneal nerves heal, leaving 80% "not healed for life." That is why so many lasik patients are on Restasis drops for life at $100month. And the ones that aren't, have no cure...Dr's sold their souls to the Devil!

  • I however, am happy with my results, it allows me to get on with my life without having to hunt down a pair of glasses several times a day.

  • knowing there was a small risk. I was told I would now proably not need glasses for the rest of my life. Remember that the reason you can not see close with presbyopia is the loss of elasticity in the lens and the inability of the muscle tissue to pull the lens into the correct shape, my left eye is now permanently focused short, at rest, at about 12 inches. I can not comment on other types of Lasik for other eye problems as I do not know enough. cont..

  • You will not need glasses again until your prescription changes again. You will also need them to drive safely at night---that left eye needs full correction for driving especially in the dark. Monovision is a COMPROMISE of vision for the sake of convenience.

  • I asked if there was another way I could get my vision corrected without this cut, but as you know the lens needs to be reshaped for this kind of procedure. I was told that the cells on the surface of the flap-cut bond after some months but the rest underneath just cling like velcro. This procedure is a personal choice and I thought long and hard cont....

  • You should know that it was not your LENS that was reshaped. It was your CORNEA. What you were told is typical lasik-surgeon-speak.

  • The flap NEVER heals. Ask your optometrist if they have patients who've had lasik a few years ago now coming back for glasses or contacts. If he's honest, he'll tell you that they are coming back. The blasted tissue is gone forever, but your eyes keep changing as you age, so the correction doesn't last forever.

  • Understood. This was explained to me at the various sessions I had before committing. Obviously from your Handle, you have had a bad experience and I am sypmathize with you. My surgeon was upfront supplying patient lists and contact details of patients willing to talk both in the positive and negative. We had discussions of what I wanted and what could reasonably be expected. To be truthful, the cutting of the flap was the only thing freaking me out. Cont..

  • Actually, you're wrong--the ONLY time the flap doesn't heal is if it is removed from the intact cornea. The changing vision post-surgery is NOT due to a cornea that will "never heal." If you're a myope and under 27-ish, your eyes will probably change SOME over a few years (this would have happened withot Surgery as well. At 40, presbyopia causes reading vision within 18 inches from your face to begin to blur; this also would happen regardless of the surgery.

  • Read some peer-reviewed medical journal articles for the truth about the flap.

    J Refract Surg. 2005 Sep-Oct;21(5):433-45.

CONCLUSIONS: The human comeal stroma typically heals after LASIK in a limited and incomplete fashion; this results in a weak, central and paracentral hypocellular primitive stromal scar that averages 2.4% as strong as normal comeal stroma.
