What do you mean there are not many announcements left on the British Railway network?

Wish we had the nice bells before the announcement in American stations. Its called the pagey we wagy tone before the announcement.

I use to operate the computer system which controlled Phil Sayers announcements when Northern Rail had control of PA at Leeds station. Was a great clear system. Leeds is awful under Network Rails system

@malo66 correct because i remember it saying burmingham new street which u cant get to from reading but you can from BTM

@GazzerHST Of course you can get to Birmingham new St from Reading.! Direct trains from Bournemouth, Brighton and, of course, Reading. The Brightons have now gone, and some of the Readings now start from Southampton.

Equally, you can, as you say, get from BTM to Birmingham.
