The F-16 is one of only 2 planes that can turn at 9 g's it and the super hornet, regular hornets can only turn at 7 and 1/2 g's truly the viper is a true dog fighter

@Reflex19841 Super Hornet can only do 7.5 too due to carrier operations stress. Viper can do 9g as well as the Raptor and I believe the F-35A can too.

@beroth1 I could see the f-35 being able to do a 9 g turn it's still a Top- secret highly classified plane though which we don't see much... Of I'm willing to bet the F-117 can do a 9 g turn if not more...

@Reflex19841 the f-117 cant reach the speeds to do anything close to a 9 G turn its meant to be undetectable...but its slow and can only carry 2 bombs

they had one of these babies at the Indy 15th airshow. came in behind behind us and alot of people screamed XD .2 times the speed of sound and the loudest they had to offer. It was totally awsome

Hellenic Air-force does it yet again. They have just won all the combat exercise in the latest NATO military exercises held in Spain last week April, 2011.This is on top of the other big win which was RED FLAG 2008 where they destroyed US Air-force in a kill ratio of 18:3. The so called best air-force and its top-guns, was their first loss and never had it been so bad.Further more the best NATO Pilot for the third time was Charalambos Eskioglou. Hellenic Airforce leaves the rest for dust!

@stealhty1 If your talking about the white vapour that appears above the wings, that is the immense pressure as the aircraft fights through the air pulling a tight manoeuvre. This is cause by the plane is pushing hard against the air (and compressing it against the plane) leaving a white vapour. I hope this answers your question.

1. better pilots - more trained due to higher defence budget.

2. awac support

3. better missiles

4. bigger numbers.

both the mig 29 and f - 16 are great fighters.

@miansabahatullah well,i thing mig 29 is better cause it does sharp turns and,the cobra manuver but, F 16 have better Avionics and,in a dog fight mig 29 will win,why it can take more forces than F16!

At my base we operate F-16's. I can't believe that the F-35 is going to replace it along with the A-10 F-18 and AV-8B. I wonder what aircraft the Thunderbirds crew is going to use ?

Yeah....I am not sold on the "f-35 will replace everything". it sounds like an idiot idea to me. It basically excels in nothing and only adds somewhat improved avionics and a little stealth....sigh...U.S. Military is taking the cheap way out, hope it doesn't come back to bite us.The Thunderbirds and Blue Angels with both fly their respective variants of the F-35.

The JSF program was designed to replace the U.S. military's F-16, A-10, F/A-18 (excluding F/A-18E/F) and AV-8B tactical fighter aircraft. Which is pretty much the good ones we have right now and I agree it does sound like in idiot idea to me and also they are retiring the F-15 which is not good at all.

yea dozer does almost all of the f-22 airshows he did a fantastic show at atlantic city i can tell you that but that was 2 year ago hasnt been back since.

Uhhh... I really don't think Spicoli is flying the Raptor next year. I would have figured it would be Dozer, but I'm definitely certain an F-16 pilot won't be demonstrating the capabilities of the F-22... that will be left to a pilot that has hours in on the Raptor. Spicoli is a nice guy, I've talked to him online before so I'm not saying it in a negative way - just that they won't stick a Falcon driver into the Raptor & say "go show the world what the F-22 can do".

They should seriously dust off F-16 Agile Falcon type, or F-16AT concepts and shoot for a 6th gen development around mid-2020s, imo. Or convert block 50s to modernize them for remaining life (perhaps 15 more years).

Maybe with 2-D vectoring, and CCV for max flight control.

The F-16 has brutal agility and in the hands of the right pilot, it can still hold its own against any fighter flying today! I would love to see a demo of an F-16 fitted with the "AVEN" system. That demo would give the Raptors a run for its money!...

That was a pretty amazing demo...not to mention that I had seen these all day for 8 months and did not think they were this agile. Your video proves otherwise. Awesome fighter.
