It wouldn't have been a "seafront" for the last 100 million years. The continents are made up of less dense rock then the ocean plates, so continents tend to move, rise, and fall. It can happen suddenly --in the 2005 earthquake / tsunami in Indonesia, an entire island moved 100 feet. Mountains rise up, and highlands can become ocean front property. The ocean levels also rise and fall.

Don't think so. They're too large, and the position of Austraila probably would've been too far south for the small mammals of that period. I would like to see at least one of the burrows excavated for confirmation.
