I kind of think that with a cast this musically talented, it would be awful if the DIDN'T do a musical episode. How often does ONE CAST of a non-musical show end up with so many wonderful singers? I know that the cast of Grey's is larger than most other shows, which does increase the likelihood of there being a few good singers mixed in there, but this really is an extraordinary amount even for such a big cast. I looooove it.

Yesterday I saw this episode here in greece.I have seen few episodes and I think it is like soap opera they are talking about the case for 10 minutes and the  rest is about who has sexual relationship with whom.Dr.House is a medical tv series this is......I can find the right word for this "masterpiece"

Beyond wonderful. I defy anyone with a heart to watch this and not cry. Just because the music was to the fore does not make it a musical. Music is used all the time to manipulate emotions, try watching any film without music - you'll be bored stiff. there was never a moment when you were confused as to what was happening. The music hit you in the gut and you knew what emotion the characters were facing. A truly awe-inspiring episode.

Typically I would have normally hated any musical episode of a regular drama series like this but this episode actually worked for me. It had great song choices and great voices from actors you would never have heard from if it wasn't made. I particularly love the last song, "The Story" sung by Torres (Sara Ramirez). Great voice and emotional! If you don't know she's actually a singer in real life and won a Tony Award for Best Performace by a Musical Actress" in Broadways "Spamalot" 1995.

It's funny how Patrick Dempsy and Sandra Oh are the only ones without even a single line in the whole episode - you have to wonder just how crap singers they are! And Ellen Pompeo really can't sing either.

Kinda just started watching G.A about 2 weeks ago from season 5 (kinda stupid I know) only because I love Dempsey - but now I'm really into the storylines and the drama and love triangles...or octogons lmao - im on 6x10 now - but I know there was a musical episode and I decided to skip to this episode - but now I'm super confused lol. @toutdeste TBH I hate how people is comparing this to Glee, I love Glee, but Glee isnt the 1st series to bring musicals to tv, there's Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Scrubs, That 70's Show, Even Stevens, Daria, The Simpsons, South Park, and Futurama, besides both Shonda Rhimes and Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives) have said they wanted to do musical since their series began, besides there was also ABC's Eli Stone, which had a lot of musical numbers
