My boyfriend and I watched S darko together, and we were utterly let down. It's basically the same movie, but they were trying too hard... It's kind of like hangover and hangover 2. Pretty much all the same idea, with a different setting, and new characters.... BLAH. :(

S.Darko is a cancer to the original Donnie Darko. It is only mildly improved if you watch the Director's cut version of the original, which has a very different feel.

I say mildly improved very loosely. It's like choosing between being beaten to death by the film, and having in rectally inserted into you. Still rather unpleasant.

I swear S.Darko could only possible rival Donnie if you watched S on acid and watched D with a blindfold with the volume off.
