Sikhism didn't exist 500 years ago. Most Sikhs (GURUS) accept Krsna as GOD and Sikhs were originally part of the Vedic or Sanatana Dharma. Just recently Sikhism was invented about 500 years ago at most. Most Foolish Sikhs are themselves in bewilderment. Sanatana Dharma is the religion of all living entities. Please see my comment. Sikhs were part of Vedic Religion, which was prominent for thousands of years in India. Sikhs were Aryans and till recently "Sikhism religion was introduced" The concept of sikhism is taken for the Vedas and while they take parts of it and reject certain parts is not very smart.

Its just that noone had actually realised. Also, just because there are some similarities does not mean it was started by the Vedic. Vedas have nothing, Guru Nanak clearly says biggest saint of saints praise the ONE lord continously no matter how powerful they are. The divine revelation is important since believe in ONE GOD. Well first of all there is nothing called Hinduism. People of India follow the Sanatana Dharma (Eternal Religion) Hinduism is a word used by the Muslims and British to distort the Vedic religion. The Vedas is absolute; that's why it's called Sanatana, Sanatana is used all the time in Vedic Scripture. Vedas have existed since creation of time. Religion is one! Same thing Jesus taught is being taught in the Vedas, same thing Muhammad taught is taught in the Vedas.

It's not the question of I believe you believe. Religion is ONE, means to revive our eternal relationship with God. The Conclusion of all religions is clear to a person who is learned. Muslims invaded India, that's a given fact. They destroyed many old temples! Stole Gold etc. One of the reason why the culture of Ancient Vedas are degraded, because of the Muslims. Zoroastrian is dead. Many old cultures are dead so are their teachings. If you study history many great civilizations died out, but only the ancient Vedas texts have survived. If you look at Ayurveda which predates any kind of medical knowledge. Islam and Sikhism have so much in common, let's not spread hate and generalizations. I am a Muslim who also has sikh family, and I can't help but much love for this beautiful faith. Guru Nakak's closest companion, Mardana was a Muslim who went with him on Hajj, so that shows how much peace there can be between these great faiths.

Sikhism a revealed religion in the dark-ages, the youngest religion out of all religions, does share similarities and also differences too. Such as e.g. Islam which is similar to the teachings of Christianity and Judaism, also has some similarities with Hinduism.

Sikhi teaches us that all religions have come from the Lord, many paths that lead to one destination. Sikhs believe that following the way of Sikhi is the most simple path.
