Ibelieve that if anyone who believed in the Bible and its teaching on Human Life, would believe that Killing an innocent child or harming them in anyway was the last thing on earth that they would ever want to do. Every human being has the right to life. If the mother cannot afford it, then there are adoptive means open to her. Just as Moses was adopted by the Queen. Read the Bible to know how God wants you to live!
The Cardinal should just say that real Catholics can not vote for a pro abortion candidate. He is being a politician here and trying to give some wiggle room. Between this and the homosexual priests that have created the sex abuse problem the Church is in trouble. Just say what you know is true Cardinal.....Catholics can not vote for pro abortion candidates. Period.

This comment makes me shiver to think our president said this... a baby isn't a punishment, but a reality and a blessing whether desired or not. Isn't giving life the greatest gift a person can offer? I'm nineteen and if I was to get pregnant it would definately be hard to deal with but I wouldn't resorted to killing my own child to shirk the responsibility of parenthood. I don't think I could live with that guilt.
