@VeterusTV, Yeah Jesse has a unique style of mandolin playing. One of the first to cross-pick on the mandolin for sure. Doc was cross-picking guitar but on mandolin Jesse was the first person I heard playing those rolls.
I love it very nice, Thank you guys you guys are so good, Harmonizing together like that is something that has washed out of music pretty much i just thank God for you two and many others:) Who wrote this song?
Howdy. went searchin for a cb radio lick and am goin to use a few of these instead . A friend just passed (R.I.P.) over 30 yrs on the road I,m the "hippie type" he should have run me over but I grew on him and would,nt back down or wimp out ,he had no choice lol. a truck drivin man JOE OLNEY HESSTON KANSAS A REAL red neck . Jim died December 31, 2002, and Jesse is still very much alive and performing. I got to meet Jesse at Podunk in 2008 where he had a great performance.
I met these fine gentlemen back in the late 60's in Brewton Alabama. They had stopped for a bite to eat at a little diner there. As a teenager, I had no compunction at interrupting their meal, and they were so kind. They gave my sister and I autographs, and showed us both that gentlemen were still alive in well. Thank you Jim and Jesse! Kimmee

You Tube used to let us download videos but now it doesn't seem to. About all I can think of is pointing a camcorder at the video while it plays. Several artists reproduced this tune including the Jay Guiles band but the best version is by Ricky Nelson. Can anyone find that one?
Awesome wish you could post Blazin'Smokestack and This Sleeper Cab is my Home.Gotta love these old truckin' tunes. All those lyrics I've lived(owner/op 13years)and have true special meaning to me for a profession that is dear to me.
last week, the best trucker in the world passed away. my uncle kenny. at his funeral, the bluegrass band, wayne turnage & fair river station, played this song. it means lots to me.
