Yeah, it was Enchanter, just like my AC 1 character. Leaving AC 2 was incredibly difficult, as I put A LOT of time into that character. Anyone who bothered to reach the top tier in crafting and hunt for those unbelievably rare item drops to craft would understand. I still remember spending nearly a week in one of the dungeons hunting banderlings for teeth.

I still fondly remember AC 2. Got my mage to max level, 50 I believe it was, and even had a staff I worked on that was about as powerful as it could get. I finally quit in anger when the dev team, despite very reasonable, logical arguments to the contrary, made several changes to the different classes, including my beloved mage. Had a friend that continued to play and said the mage class took a major hit, while some overpowered classes stayed mostly untouched.

@CasyleDeagwa Were you a enchanter? Because the sorcerer line was never nerfed in any way, they were actually improved, enchanters weren't nerfed either just changed.

@Xanerithe It's been soooo long... I believe I was an enchanter. It was changes to the main mage line that infuriated me, as every good damage spell mages had was set for a damage reduction. IE The mini-nuke and explosion, can't remember the others. A couple friends stayed on and said they scraped their mages after the changes because the damage reduction to a mage's main spells were too much.

They ruined this game in 1 day with the infamous AC patch. Never before have I seen such woeful ignorance. 15k subs to 600 overnight, literally.

I miss that game so much. It was my first MMO at the age of 35 and I've played so many since then and none thrilled me like AC2.

I'm one of those that tried AC1 after the death of AC2 and i must say i hated AC1. It was not the same game whatsoever.

ac1 and ac2 are both good game's and if you liked ac2 there adding stuff from ac2 to ac1 so go tri it out

Diablito-Tumerok prety much everything a tumerok could be by the time the game was over. the best game in pvp pve and quest wise in my opion. palisade battles were the best also. turbine just decided to completely destroy the game once they got rid of runcasting and cut the pvp damage to 1/3 base damage arrrrghhh makes me mad that they did that. i miss that game so much

Based on this video i dont know how this can be compared to WOW. I quit wow cause it was a waste of time and im guessing Asheron's call is too. Im neutral in the bickering between these two games but i have the same comment for players for either games:

Because this video is about a pretty olde game. The visuals are actually amazing for it's time compared to the lo-res poly-avatars of WoW for today's standard. But as WoW when i played it seemed to have a skill-system and GUI almost ripped from what i remember of AC2, and level-grinding gameplay, you're right... a waste of time. i myself even have little time for games like this... i miss the memories though...

AC2 was the best MMORPG ive ever played. since then ive played alot of others. but i still loved AC2 the most. tried Eq2,WoW,Guild Wars,SWG,RF Online,D&D(DDO),Fury,Sword of the New World.

AC2 had major bugs and flaws when it launched. It took Turbine a long time to fix them, and some deficiencies couldn't be remedied. The entire world was one gigantic world, no instancing. So while a group was doing a quest in a dungeon, a rival clan could interrupt/kill them. But yea, I miss the fast paced crazy pvp action. Battles were intense for an MMO.

yer .. same here. my hdd crashed too and i have only the videos here left on a dvd ... i tried lots of mmorpgs, including eq2, gw, wow, vanguard and didn't experience the same feeling. but hey: the only thing that's important nowadays is money, so we will have to play shallow games like wow, lotro & co - or don't participate in this machinery.

wish turbine would get their heads out of their a**'s move all the lore and quests from ac1 (a graphically pathetic game..even w/ that so called expansion)& reintroduce ac2 to the world as a completed 3D game that could hold its own vs WoW.

And why it won't happen because turbine doesn't have the balls nor the brains to see what they truly had THE BEST !@#$ GAME EVER!
