  • Excellent cover of a fantastic track - well done!!

  • Very nice!

  • From the music you wouldn't know this is a cover. Great job! Now, I wonder if there is any live video of "Chase" anywhere. Another great group of the era.

  • @gremmann Thanks! - Bill Chase and the band were awesome! There's some great live footage of Chase on YT. Just search for "Chase - Get It On (Live February 28, 1974)"

  • That was a great cover! Kudos to all of you. Great job!

  • ..you've got a point. We were trying to attract more viewers and may have mislead with the title. No offense intended, hope you enjoyed our cover of this great song.

  • I would be more honest to place the word "cover" in the title, but no, just drag people here on false pretenses, it's easier.

  • @atty1chgo lighten up for Christ's sakes! This a tremendous cover, and zero did us a favor...geez...some people's kids...

  • @3Rubee - your comment has nothing to do with what I said. Honesty is the best policy. If people want to hear a cover, let them choose, don't bullshit them into clicking the link.

  • hell of a cover.

    nice job!

  • Great job!

  • Very nice job. I'm sure that Paul, Skip and the guys will approve.

  • The horns are smoking hot

    The vocals need more volume

I normally slag on covers unless they are great

You guys get a pass , you did a very good job

    Impressive on a great cover

  • DYNOMITE

  • Great job guys!

  • So Damn Cool

  • Very cool. I saw Lighthouse in and around Toronto a good dozen times or so from 1969 to 1974. I'm generally not a fan of wannabe covers but this is outstanding and they not only do justice and respect to the original they add their own licks, showcase their talent, have fun and get in the groove. Well done!

  • well done

    lot of emotion

  • that was incredible!

is it just me or does the singer look like a cop? haha

  • Fantastic cover!!! These guys are awsome!

    Send them to Youngstown!!!

  • Damn good version! Paul Hoffert (co-founder of Lighthouse) is a friend of mine, and I'm sending him the link to have a listen to this.

  • @philgexile That is awesome. Tell Hoffert to dig up some footage of the boys when McBride was still in the band that would be incredible to see. Gonna try to them in late November.

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!

And in the middle of a blizzard, the place was melting!

I cant say how well you did this tune.

    Keep it on!

  • Wow, they are really good, do they still play in the Toledo area?

  • what a cool cover of one of my favorite songs. solos and leads are tight as hell. brass and keys are just right.big ups to the bass player singing backups, great job!

  • Thanks! I enjoyed this! I saw Lighthouse live in concert in a hockey rink in Tisdale, Saskatchewan back in the early 70's. The ticket was $4.00. They played for 2 hours..had the whole brass section with them and all! I'll remember it my whole life.

  • Awesome cover, could pass for the original.

  • A great version of one of their best tracks. Would have loved to have seen them live in concert in their heyday. I lived and dreamed Lighthouse - still do.Isn't there any live footage, other than "Take It Slow", with Bob McBride, available somewhere? Just gotta see that before I go to the happy hunting grounds!

  • Good brass section

  • Great cover of a fantastic song

  • fine cover of a great song

  • This has always been a Super tune and these guys did a Great job with it ! Good post !

  • What I like about these guys, aside from the great song choice, is that they are not in their 20s. Refuse to wear a tie and punch a time clock, no matter what!

  • Love it! Horns like this rock!

  • And don't forget The Ides of March and Tower of Power. Wish we could get some real Lighthouse videos posted on here. These guys are good though.

  • There are Lighthouse clips on Youtube...I've found live versions of One Fine Morning and Take It Slow.

  • Triple tnks 4 this. This song with chicago, the Grassroots, BS&T's inspired me when I was a young trumpet player back in the 70's.

  • thanks for this
