  • Thankx for the lesson very nice.

  • Love your mellow sound. All on the same page musically. Love it when it all comes together like this.

  • so this song has eight chord changes according to Jerry Coker

  • @congero21 About that. But with Herbie, it's more about the harmonic rhythm, and the actual voicings of the chords. He finds really exciting ways to voice fairly standard chords.

  • One of my fav songs, sung & played by so many, some have not heard the word. Excellent version and I like the way it shows what you are playing. I am trying to play chords on vibraphone

  • Great job! congrats.

  • Beautiful improv! Thanks so much Doug...

  • Doug is so generous ! Thank you a million times over , Doug ! -Bob

  • Wow. You topped yourself with this one. This is my new favorite jazz2511 post. *****

  • I love you!

  • beautiful.

  • beautiful harmonies! :D

  • What a treat Doug! The solo intro has a very loose and ethereal quality along with the seventh b9 parallel harmonies - perfect for this song. Then the trio section maintains this loose feel throughout the time section. Really great.
