It looks like when you lash the tongue the tight braid stage is about a third or a fourth the desired length? The weave doesn't look to hard, but a lot of trial and error on the desired length end of things.

Somebody called TheParacordMan made a video called "Dragon's Tongue Bracelet - Photo Slide Instructions" which is essentialy the same as this knot, except for this: in your video, you tie both ends of one cord around both ends of the other cord, but in his video, he ties one end of each cord around the other end of each cord.
