It only looks choppy now bc you have very straight hair and its dark in color, the same thing happens to me when I get mine cut- it is hard to get layers not to show in hair like ours. I think u should play with it a bit and then decide. Using a fat round brush on the part around your face will do wonders.

There is totally a reason why stylists recommend cutting off three inches. Your hair is like hose with a run in it. If they don't get rid of the run, it will break all the way up the hair shaft. And that is WAY uglier than "short" hair.

i think what you should do to make your hair a little less "extension"-like as you said, is to have your stylist connect the shortest later to the longest. if you tell her that, she'll know what you mean. this will make a gradient connecting your layers that looks less piece-y or choppy.
i think it looks good nonetheless though, so i hope that helps!

the color is beautiful and your hair is hella shiny, but she shouldn't have cut the layers that short. that's not really the sense of layers, there has to be a kinda smooth transition i think. layers are meant to be making hair look more flexible and "swing" when u r walking you know? it's not meant to be any kind of critique, just my opinion! :)

My honest (not mean) opinion: From the looks of that one side in the video (your left side) she did not blend the layers at all. It looks very choppy which is why it does look as if you have extensions like you mentioned. You need to find a stylist that knows how to blend layers, not just cut them. Blending the layers makes it look more natural. Hope that helps!

Your hair looks good don't worry about it. Trust, if you had weave it would show in your roots and in some parts being thicker then others. You look great!

yeah i just went to get a trim, and winded up getting over ten inches cut off.. well (it was like a couple months ago) i just went to a new hair place and the girl is SOO nice she was like who cut your hair!??! its really uneven! cuz the girl put it ina pony tail and just cut the pony tail off... well now i got my hair layered and i love it... its amazimg...... ^.^ BTW ppl do care about this stuff, dont listen to those RETARDS.

the color is beautiful and your hair is hella shiny, but she shouldn't have cut the layers that short. that's not really the sense of layers, there has to be a kinda smooth transition i think. layers are meant to be making hair look more flexible and "swing" when u r walking you know? it's not meant to be any kind of critique, just my opinion! :)

you don't look like you have extensions ... its just how you have your hair parted that makes it look like that ... also if your totally adiment about not copping off your hair because of dead ends ask your hairstylist to go in with a razor and try and take off most of the dead ends with out taking off most of your length !!!!

omg blaire I really love it! But really I know exactly how you feel I cut my hair for the first time in like 6 months about a week ago and my hair is the same color as yours..she gave my color for the 1ST TIME!! i never dyed my hair before and i got the blonde highlights too. like not dramatic highlights either, not streaks, just a touch of it. it makes my hair look lighter. i love the color treated hair shampoo too! hahah. im gonna keep getting highlights im addicted now!

First time viewer here. I'm not sure what your hair looked like before, but seeing the after, you still have a ton of hair.
My honest (not mean) opinion: From the looks of that one side in the video (your left side) she did not blend the layers at all. It looks very choppy which is why it does look as if you have extensions like you mentioned. You need to find a stylist that knows how to blend layers, not just cut them. Blending the layers makes it look more natural. Hope that helps!
