You probably need to enable "Port Forwarding". This is also discussed in detail at the AskMisterWizard website. It's "Episode 14", and you can find it under "Port Forwarding" in the index, visible on the prominent left panel.
If you want to change your computer's IP address to 192.168.1.1, you can use either of two approaches. Both are described in two free movies available from the AskMisterWizard website. Look in the index under "Internet Addresses".
Both cases assume that your home network or small office network is behind a NAT router. If you don't have a small network or a NAT router, then you probably don't want to use IP addresses in the 192.168.x.x range.
