Thanks for posting this video. I am a new fan of PT and this song is one of my favourites. "You kiss me on the lips...s", marvellous (sensuality through linguistic sounds, which immediately catches the listener's attention).
Thanks for posting! An awesome piece of music. And your apology for the quality of the video is completely unnecessary. For something from 2001 - it looks and sounds great! Beats the quality of a lot of the videos I've seen in Youtube. And for those of us who were not familiar with the band back then - it's a real treat to see these older clips. And hey - it's Porcupine Tree - no one EVER has to apologize for anything PT!!
You know what would suck hardcore? What if the cult was right and we're doomed here on Earth? We think they're dumbasses for offing themselves and they're laughing on the "Next Level" calling us Noobs.
Having only seen Porcupine Tree live with Gavin Harrison and John Wesley, it's interesting to see backup vocals coming from behind the set. I had no idea Chris sang backups; he does a great job. Also interesting to see Steven playing a run-of-the-mill Strat. Also, I love the sound of his acoustic modeling pedal. I find that it's texturally more apt to their music than the real thing. Does anyone know the make and model?
"but I definitely think is a jewel because is about Porcupine Tree. Enjoy it!"
and it's a jewel because it's got Chris on drums!
first time i ever saw them, was late 90's. i was on work detail in Germany. buddy had gotten me DT tickets for Stuttgart, and PT opened. Chris was amazing!
@rcantu6 For a couple of years the only version of this song I had was the one from this show (at one point you could stream the entire show on the internet and I have it all on CD). When I finally got the album I was taken aback because the lyrics were different. This will always be the original version for me. :D
Would prefer to see Gavin on the skins, but this is tight for just the four PT'ers. Didn't even bring in John Wesley for extra guitar. Nice clip, thanks for sharing!
Did anyone else come only for the Applewhite sample?
