Cooler Master 690 II Advanced Upgrade

I have the same case and i'm thinking of getting the coolermaster 212 but can you fit the side panel back on or do you have to leave it off?

@Itachi52 dude now i have the noctua nh-d14 and that a monster of a cooler and it fits without any problem,the 212 will fit in any mid case or maybe samll factor case.

ur cooler is so wrong in that way, ur pulling heat air ( from ur vga ) to the heat pipes... it should be <-back fan <-cooler <- cooler fan

@nahuel2222 Not the case. His graphics card has an external exhaust cooler, so all the heat from the graphics card is exhausted externally out of the case, means that there will be no heat from the graphics card within the case. In fact in his case, his way of mounting the cooler actually yields better temperature because:

1)Heat rises, so the hot air will move up out of the case.

2)There's more air flowing out through the top than through the back, so exhausting through the top is more efficien

@edmonte3 it cames with the case,i don't think that you can buy that from cooler master,only the advanced case has that holder

Would you reccomend the Antec 900/902 or this case? Also i have a Vantec ION+2 600W PSU and was wondering if i purchase this case could i essentially mount the PSU "upside down" you know so fan is facing up? Or fan down?

@rollbander66 this case is better than antec 900,it has better cable management,better air flow and yes you can mount your psu with the fan facing down the case has perforated mesh with dust filter for atx psu

another question is that the Hyper 212 + cooler? Im trying to figure out what CPU cooler to get for my q6600 any suggestions?

@rollbander66 glad that you like the 690,nope that is just the 212 and is the best bang for the buck,it keeps my oc cpu 33 idle and 55 full load 22 c ambient

So I see you can fit a 5870 in this case, tight fit? That's the only thing I'm worried about., whether or not the card will fit.

Hey ndragos87 do you think a 5970 would fit in your case? ive heard the cm690 ii advanced can fit 12" cards but i think the 5970 is 12" 1

@jayjay0001 no it can't fit a 5970,but if you remove all hdd bays you can fit even a 47 cm video card,but after that you will have to mount the hdd in the odd bays

e super misto noua ta carcasa...,un singur lucru care nu-mi place mie la carcasele cooler master 690 II advenced 2 ,,,faptul ca trebuie inpanzite de ventilatoare, in rest arara bestial, BRAVOO! frumoasa configuratie .

@DuBB3R thx m8,the psu is a beast i've tested it with tow 5870 and it all ok,the fan is antec tricool 120mm,but you can mount 140mm if you want

@ndragos87 yeah ive got the same case its proper sweet and was thinking of buying a cm psu for it but was gona get the 500w or 600w because im only going to have one graphics card. Have u got 2x140mm in the top btw because i was thinking of moving the one that comes with the case to the bottom and buying a couple of blue xigmateks for the top. If you do, did it improve airflow much? thanks

@DuBB3R yes i have two 140 fan on the top and in the front 140mm antec tricool from an antec 300 case,and yes it does a good job on airflow with 2 fans on the top,you can see in my other video a mod with a fan in the ODD bay,that one has decreased my cpu temps with about 5 degrees,get the 600w one it better when you have a mid range gpu and some hdd.s with 3 or 4 fans in the case
