This song gave me goosebumps!! She has such an incredibly amazing voice and puts so much emotion into her songs. She really should have song, she totally deserved it.

I think Idol politics put her in a bad light. Simon favored Lee and it showed. I think the voting would have been quite different if she was in front of the judges they have now. But that doesn't count ... what counts are sales and her cd is selling quite well on Amazon. Better to rise slow and steady than be a shooting star, here today and gone tomorrow. I think this generation will grow up knowing her and she will ensure that generations knows about boomer generation music.

The fan wars are still going on? Anyway, as someone who preferred Lee to Crystal (she was my second favorite, though), I'm glad they're both happy doing what they love to do.

@donaford The problem with American Idol atleast this year is it wasn't a popularity contest; it was speedialing for four hours straight one person thousands of times apiece. If everyone could only dial once Crystal would have won by a landslide. When Lee bombed finale night the tweens even went crazier. You can dial 2000 times apiece but Lee's lucky if that same person bought 1 of his cd's hence the worst sale of any winner or runner up in AI history; Crystal beat by 19,000 copies!!
American Idol is a wonderful popularity contest with, occasionally, some very good singers. It gives those singers a chance to find an audience. It is what it is. And look at those singers, Kelly, Crystal, Adam, Jennifer, Carrie, Daugherty, Clay, Ruben, Fantasia, the list goes on and on. Millions of albums sold. How many of these we never would have had a chance to hear. So what if Lee or Kris or Taylor wins. Good for them. So what?

Billboard projects it's the worst first week of an Idol winner ever in sales! Us Mag. said it's as interesting as "watching paint dry". Both papers from his home town agreed & gve negative reveiws. Another he got 2 out of 4 stars. Entertainment Weekly gave him a solid C. His rendition of Beautiful Day & he won, seriously?!
I read an article stating that American Idol is changing its format, no more David Cooks, Kris Allens & Lee Dewyzes hiding behind a guitar. I think its good because to be a real performer, you need to be by yourself, it just wasn't fair for the other contestants, Crystal is a real performer. :) I don't hate on the winners I just mentioned, besides, I like them all. :)

Just read an article where Crystal said she wants to delay the release of her Cd until next year springtime. Actually, I think that's a great move on her part because Offkey Lee is releasing his sorry Cd in November and it will surely be burned out long before Spring. I am so sick of her having to do everything coinciding with Lee and the stupid little tween wars. Tweens will tire of Lee soon because he sings flat and offkey, a dull dude! & Crystal will have the time for brand new songs!!!!!!

@TwiddleD214 I don't know how long you have been watching Idol but the most talented winner absolutely didn't win for atleast two years in a row. The voting system gives you four hours unlimited calling and the vast majority of calls are tween girls and they call thousands of times apiece. It is an unfair system and it doesn't by any means stand for who America wants. The proof is in last year; Kris Allen won; Adam Lampert is much much better and today Adam is worlds more sucessful than Kris.

Absolutely beautiful! Time and time again Crystal proved why she was the frontrunner from the start; SHE IS BY FAR THE BEST!! In the finale Crystal proved once again why she deserved the title and why she was always the frontrunner. It's a shame just to add some drama that the judges had to pimp that poor hardworker paint salesman balony when really Crystal was the one with both the hard life and the true talent! I think Idol politics put her in a bad light. Simon favored Lee and it showed. I think the voting would have been quite different if she was in front of the judges they have now. But that doesn't count ... what counts are sales and her cd is selling quite well on Amazon. Better to rise slow and steady than be a shooting star, here today and gone tomorrow. I think this generation will grow up knowing her and she will ensure that generations knows about boomer generation music.

The voting system should change so that one person cannot place thousands of calls. If that continues Idol will not survive. @donaford The problem with American Idol atleast this year is it wasn't a popularity contest; it was speedialing for four hours straight one person thousands of times apiece. If everyone could only dial once Crystal would have won by a landslide. When Lee bombed finale night the tweens even went crazier. You can dial 2000 times apiece but Lee's lucky if that same person bought 1 of his cd's hence the worst sale of any winner or runner up in AI history; Crystal beat by 19,000 copies!!

American Idol is a wonderful popularity contest with, occasionally, some very good singers. It gives those singers a chance to find an audience. It is what it is. And look at those singers, Kelly, Crystal, Adam, Jennifer, Carrie, Daugherty, Clay, Ruben, Fantasia, the list goes on and on. Millions of albums sold. How many of these we never would have had a chance to hear. So what if Lee or Kris or Taylor wins. Good for them. So what?

Billboard projects it's the worst first week of an Idol winner ever in sales! Us Mag. said it's as interesting as "watching paint dry". Both papers from his home town agreed & gve negative reveiws. I read an article stating that American Idol is changing its format, no more David Cooks, Kris Allens & Lee Dewyzes hiding behind a guitar. I think its good because to be a real performer, you need to be by yourself, it just wasn't fair for the other contestants, Crystal is a real performer. :) I don't hate on the winners I just mentioned, besides, I like them all. :)

Just read an article where Crystal said she wants to delay the release of her Cd until next year springtime. Actually, I think that's a great move on her part because Offkey Lee is releasing his sorry Cd in November and it will surely be burned out long before Spring. @TwiddleD214 Lee was average all season, offkey vocals, flat and if he improved as much as you said he wouldn't have been terrible thoughout the finale. Btw this is not supposed to be about who improves again a talent competition shoud be about just that TALENt and Crystal is leaps and bounds more talented than Lee. Crystal didn't need to improve because she was absolutely astounding from the beginning to the end of Idol! Lee was always averge but the worst at the end of Idol with all 3 songs!!

@TwiddleD214 The USA doesn't lack credibility, Idol does! AMERICAN IDOL IS NOT THE USA! Very few Idol winners have gone on to be stars only Carrie and Kelly, both women. Last year, everybody knew Adam deserved the title and this year everybody knows Crystal deserved the title..you said it best when you said she has the best voice! Adam is outselling Kris hugely! Nobody cares about Taylor HIcks. The USA will speak; Crystal will be a huge megastar, Lee will be with Kris & Taylor Hicks.

American Idol "winners" rarely go on to be very sucessful; only a handful of contestants mostly female have become stars and Crystal will be huge star! She's a standout performer with an outrageously beautiful voice & incredible stage presence!! Lee like Kris last year but Kris is better than Lee is an average performer/offkey/flat tone. Namecalling can't change that.

I said also that I don't ever write on Lee's Websites and that people and I am not referring to you come only on Crystal's sites to defend Lee. The voting system is ridiculous on Idol and it's well known that men/boys rarely vote and that with unlimitied calling tweens vote many many times over the same person thousands of times. When they saw how terrible Lee did they made sure to speedial twice as much to "save" him but it's a shame that the truly gifted person did not win and that was Crystal by a trillion miles! Jennifer Hudson came in fourth and got the Academy Award. Taylor Hicks (who is better than Lee) won & who cares?!

With Taylor Hicks, David Cook, Kris Allen, & Lee DeWzye Idol has now produced so many boring men with sideburns they can form their own group and call it Average Joe. Crystal is amazingly gifted and when Lee's fifteen minutes like Taylor's & Kris's before him are over Crystal will get the superstardom she deserves!

@TwiddleD214 I don't know how long you have been watching Idol but the most talented winner absolutely didn't win for atleast two years in a row. The voting system gives you four hours unlimited calling and the vast majority of calls are tween girls and they call thousands of times apiece. It is an unfair system and it doesn't by any means stand for who America wants. The proof is in last year; Kris Allen won; Adam Lampert is much much better and today Adam is worlds more sucessful than Kris.

Lee isn't that kind of singer, he is moments away from being yesterday's news. Crystal is exactly the type of singer that becomes a legend, she is that great! Someone wrote she has the soul of Janis. Crystal looks absolutely beautiful and she sounds totally beautiful! Crystal is going to be a huge star; she has amazing stage presence and an incredible voice; she of course should have won but while Offkey Lee is somewhere perhaps mixing paints with Taylor Hicks, Crystal will be in superstardom land with other celebs that have TRUE TALENT and she will go on to win awards that TRULY COUNT! Idol has produced enough average sideburned men to form their own band and call it AVERAGE JOE!!

@TwiddleD214 I believe those that should be sucessful are those that are truly gifted like Crystal; it was sad to see her not get the title she so genuinely deserved but ultimately it will be better for her to be without the stigma of Idol which has lost all credibility and become a joke. Atleast two years in a row the obivously much more talented person didn't "win" due to a ridiculous voting system & tweens speed-dialing. For four hours straight each tween speedials two thousand times for the cutest boy left. Adam lost, too, and that was also a joke but this year was the worst: Crystal is a trillion times more talented than Lee! He no more deserved the title than somebody would deserve the money when handed to them by a bankrobber Lee veers offkey often and has a flat tone plus he looks clumsy on stage. You can find "Lees" everywhere. Crystal is truly unique and extremely gifted! Lee already released two failed Cd's. He wouldn't need defending if he truly had the talent. He's average.

I agree with you that Crystal already is a sensation and doesn't need the stigma of being titled American Idol, a show which now lacks complete credibiltiy. I disagree that "winning" can make Lee into a sensation when he is average, offkey and sings flat. That show is American Magician!! Lee, like Taylor Hicks, has only his 15 minutes.

Hes just a pothead kid who was always into music. Dont get me wrong he has talent but he doesnt compare to Crystal. Go check out her originals on Youtube and you'll know what I mean. I've listened to Lee's stuff...its boring. Crystal has is an amazing songwriter. She has personality. And she has sooo much soul

@TwiddleD214 Crystal is an absolutely amazing singer! Lee is very average, he often sings offkey and has a really flat edge to his voice. Even when he isn't nervous he has bad stage presence, looks really awkward on stage. Are you aware that besides being a "paintsalesman" Lee already released two failed cd's before he was ever on American Idol? I am not even sure that compies with the rules but Crystal was definitely robbed. She will be better off without the stigma of American Idol.

Absolutely beautiful! Time and time again Crystal proved why she was the frontrunner from the start; SHE IS BY FAR THE BEST!! In the finale Crystal proved once again why she deserved the title and why she was always the frontrunner. It's a shame just to add some drama that the judges had to pimp that poor hardworker paint salesman balony when really Crystal was the one with both the hard life and the true talent! TALENT WILL ULTIMATELY WIN! Lee better enjoy his fifteen minutes of fame!!
