kilbraur.... You will probably never read this and that is too bad. I grew up listening to Elvis and I loved his music (all of it). But this man's voice is like all the Gold in Fort Knox in one moment in time. You obviouslay lack culture. If the zenith of your musical capacity is Elvis' Surrender, or Elvis at all. You are seriously lacking of life itself and live in a damned cave. Pavarotti was a gift to us and you Spit on him, Like tihe Roman's Spit on Christ. How Sad!
Nessun tempo draggy, takes a revolution of vibrato to get the high C up to par--STILL BRINGS HIS AUDIENCE TO ITS FEET!! Nothing short of amazing. No one but Pava could do that time after time. You are sorely missed, ll Maestro!
@DutchHPfan1992 I take it you haven't heard Elvis then. That last song was an Elvis song (Surrender) and this guy has just copied it and changed the words to a foreign language so no one spots it.
@babystinky The date of this concert is 1982 and Elvis recorded this in the early 60s so who copied who? This one is all foreign, can't understand a word of it, probably some European language like French or German if you ask me. Listen to Elvis sing it and you can understand all the words.
He makes me feel like I can sing this song,too..........then I had to snap out of my dream................RIP LP......I will be missing you for a long long time.
Wow, I'm still looking for my jaw. I can't believe he could emit such a sound.

@kilbraur
No. Elvis copied the song and sung it in a 'foreign language' -the dialect is originally Neapolitan

@kilbraur
The song goes way back. Here it is in 1951 (before Elvis) by Mario Lanza
watch?v=HHkiVtQhd7Q
The song itself was composed in 1902 by Ernesto De Curtis.
Elvis loved it, and he was a huge fan of Mario Lanza, whom Elvis regarded as the greatest singer on the planet;
So Elvis recorded it, and did it in a "Foreign Language" -that is English. The song was originally in the Neapolitan dialect

@kilbraur
actually the Mario Lanza version is here from 1951

I realized the other one I posted was from 1953 by Di Stefano
