@greekooo3 If it has cats then it will pass the visual safety inspection if they do one. If it has high flow cats, it may set off the service engine light in which it would fail emissions. You would need MIL eliminators or a custom tune where there can shut off the rear O2 sensors.

@mnurse18 I don't know about quieter. The magnaflows really open up when you get on it. There is less interior noise which is what I was looking for. I love the way the magnaflows sound on these cobras and I like Flowmaster. The best sound is a Flowmaster American Thunder kit on a fox body.

Just purchased a 2003 Cobra Convertible 10th anniversary edition and it came with Dynomax mufflers. I don't like how they sound. Definitely leading towards Flowmaster. What exactly does the x-pipe do and how much roughly?

No the factory mufflers are not based on flowmasters they are far more restrictive. How dose putting flowmasters give mustang owners a bad name. Don't listen to that retard your exhuast sounds awsome the only thing you need is a o/r mid pipe

see this is where you look stupid now. when the new edge mustangs came out ford motor company wanted them to have an aggressive sound, so ford went to flowmaster and asked them to design the mufflers for the new mustangs. on my stock 99 GT before the modding fever came in the stock mufflers say FLOWMASTER along with ford motor company. if you get better headers and either an off road h or x pipe or one with 2 high flow cats instead of that 4 cat bs you get the same sound as a 40 series muffler..

dude maybe it's just something that my 35th anniversary limited edition came with but on my mufflers it has the ford symbol and it says flowmaster on them both. if you actually owned a mustang, you would know. even if you want to think the mufflers on a 4.6 aren't flowmaster's the design on the inside is the exact same to a 40 series. no where near a turbo stlye exhaust. you want that go look up aeroturbine

ok i have the 40 series muffler on my mustang, i have had 40 deltas and super 40s, and i just took the STOCK mufflers off of my car (2000) and they are no where near the design of the flowmasters, they look more like the walker mufflers which are are TURBO STYLE Muffler...do some research and you will see
