I found the best antidote for those trying to get off meth is about 30 days in rahad, and treatment with Adderall. Ya can't just take a meth addict off meth and expect miracles. Good luck! MAdderall will at least help alot against those cravings that are psychologically started. Slowly wean them off the meth, retrain the thinking process, and THEN, they'll have a chance. Trust me it works. Nasty sh%^t that meth is.

I could see gang members doing a drive by shooting against a clinic since they are cutting into their business. People leaving the clinic with their drugs might get assaulted and their drugs stolen. That might scare people away from going to the drug clinics. If addicts could get their drugs at walgreens, it wouldn't be as obvious that they are buying drugs

Yes, meth labs are nasty and people who manufacture it probably have little/no background as a chemist, but the chemicals used in its extraction/synthesiation can be removed completely.
That's why all drugs need to be legal, get these users and labs off our streets, get them into proper labs and doctors offices, that way the user can be sure of potency/purity, eliminating risk of overdose and side effects, but a doctor can help to ween the user off.

If people could get it without a prescription or if docs would give prescriptions to addicts, illegal meth labs would disappear. Same goes for Heroin, crack and all the rest. The best way to put illegal drug dealers out of business is to offer a better product at a lower price. Target has generic prescriptions for $4. If they could sell a months worth of meth for that price, street dealers would disappear overnight.

I think that filling out a simple consent forums at a doctors office, then having them administer it would be the best solution. I realize that that sort of setting would deter many people, only problem is, would they abstain or would this create another black market?
It's a tricky question....issues involving people typically are...

@PiratedComedy I had thought about having drug clinics you could get your prescription and drugs at. This could be problematic though. I could see gang members doing a drive by shooting against a clinic since they are cutting into their business. People leaving the clinic with their drugs might get assaulted and their drugs stolen. That might scare people away from going to the drug clinics. If addicts could get their drugs at walgreens, it wouldn't be as obvious that they are buying drugs
