Yes, I remember that Canadian family,I appreciate their contribution and your work to my hometown.I remember them becasue a funny thing connected to them, My friend's father is a Communist Party officer in Nanchong, He told me something you may not known, In 1990s, there is a chao casue by football game in Nanchong, and there maybe have some gays report this unrest to Voice of America. The No.1 suspects are this foreign couple, So, all their communication are under surveillance since that time.

It was my understanding that most foreigners were under some form of surveilance while in China. Nothing ever came of it as long as you didn't do anything "wrong".

I'm a Nanchongian in UK, I never saw foreign volunteers in Nanchong before, Is there any one could tell me why this Environmental Education volunteers came to Nanchong?

The Peace Corps trained it's last set of Environmental Education volunteers for China there in August 0f 2004. Ever since then there has been at least one American volunteer in Nanchong. I also met a Canadian family there living within the university campus.
