  • Searched for someone doing this song on guitar. Found you, and must say well done and thanks for a good authentic complete version.

This would go down well in an english pub session.

  • Ein Lied 2.3.4 :-)

  • bizarre

  • lol nice ^^

  • Delightful chunk of history! This was recorded twice in 1914 (John McCormack & Billy Murray) and by Albert Farrington in 1915. Thank you for remembering the soldiers of the Great War.

  • Awesome! Not common for someone to try this song! Very rare actually!

  • Thank you,well done.

  • Many young British soldiers marched off to war singing this song. I can't help but think of this every time I hear this song. Nice version, rare to see anyone attempt to play this song.

  • I used to have to sing this song in chorus as a kid.

    ;-]

  • is that a fake mustache and beard?

  • Could you tell me the chords your using for this please? thanks :)

  • Hi, very nice song and good voice!!!

    Greetings from germany

  • omg i didn't relise yoou were singing! man youre good! keep it up!!! (i got a guitar like yours!)(you play better than me though)!

  • Hello, thanks!

Now I'm practicing Japanese songs and Appenzeller Yodel.

You got a guitar? Sounds good! It's very fun to play guitar. I also bought a new guitar, and am retrying F and Bm chords form... I can play the chords better day by day.

  • i luved it! it's such a good tune!

  • Thanks!

I love its peaceful and amusing melody and lyrics.

  • Oh dear. "everyone is gay..."

that was a really innocent time

  • Hello. I also like that part.

I feel joyful London from this lyrics.

And I feel warm and nostalgia in Tipperary.

  • I love it.You are a good singer and a very good guitarist. I like your interpretations

  • Thank you. I'm very glad.

In Japan this song is not well known.

Once I heard this song in a cinema, soon I like it.

I'm happy to know that many people in Europe love this song.

Now I have few variations to play guitar.

I'll learn other playing style and interpret good songs.

    Thank you!

  • You rock man! Cool performance, 5*

  • Hi, thanks!!

I am encouraged by your 5 stars!

Someone gave low rate to many movies I love on YouTube.

My movies also are given 1 or 2 stars many times.

    Freedom has fear side.

  • Man, you are awsom... great work.

I'm from Germay and I love this song, it is a sad song on the one hand and happy one the other hand. Your songs in German are also great!!

  • Oh, thanks. I'm really glad!

This song is full of humor. I like the lyrics. Lovely.

By the way German pronunciation is so cool! But it's difficult for me to pronounce rightly. And Long spelling words are difficult to read. I love German. I'll keep listening German songs.

  • I love this song!!Keep working!

    Rumun from Poland

  • Hello! Thanks a million!

2 years ago some Polish movies showed in Tokyo Japan.

    I watched 4 movies.

I love "Edi" the best. I watched 2 times.

I also enjoyed "Zemsta" and "Pan Tadeusz".

    Very good movies.

  • I seached "Dom Joly" on YouTube. British TV program?

He is so crazy, I like him. Cool.

Thanks for telling me "Dom Joly".

  • Very well done. I enjoyed listening to this song. Thank you for performing one of my all time favourites. Greetings from Germany.

  • Hello. Thanks!

I'm surprised that you are German and you like this song.

Because it is World War 1 song.

By the way, lately I listen Die Prinzen's 1st and 2nd album.

Their harmony is cool. I respect them.

  • Well, you know, WW1 took place 90 years ago and even the german soldiers sang that song in these days. So, why care about that? War is always the wrong way to "solve" a problem.

If you like Prinzen, try to get a copy of the a capella versions of "Kuessen Verboten" and "Das Leben ist grausam". These albums are great.

  • Hello. Thanks for your reply.

I understood your explanation about WW1.

We have some problems among neighbor countries because of WW2.

    I'm sometimes confused by them.

I'v already bought the 2 a capella version albums of Prinzen. I love them. Their harmony is quite nice.

  • Well done my friend, you deserve a huge pat on the back.

  • Thank you very much!

I'm so proud of your comment.

  • "The Clancy Brothers" - you should learn some of their songs, theyre the best irish group ive come accross, but if you like solo's, then Christy moore is a good one, i used to serve him pints in the pub where i worked in dublin

  • Thank you for the good information.

I have never known neither "The Clancy Brothers" nor "Christy Moore".

I listened them today, and soon liked their songs.

I'll buy some CDs and practice them.

  • Tears in my eyes! brings back memories from home...

very well sung mate- u've got talent.

    played it twice!

    im subscribing to u'r site.

    Salute

    Eddy

  • Happiest comment!!

"Tears in your eyes" makes my eyes full of tears.

I'm surprised that the song is well loved by people in the world even now!

  • Yep, it was sung by the soldiers of Britain marching off to war, bear in mind this was when everyone thought war was 'exciting' so, yeah. I love this song! X3

  • Thanks for your comment!

World War 1 and 2 were especially cruel...

    But this song is good.

  • Wow, that was fantastic! Great job maestro...

I used to listen to this song when i was a schoolboy...we used to march to this tune just like the soldiers. Have you seen 'Waterloo Bridge'? This song is part of the soundtrack!

  • Thanks very much vimohan!!

I'm surprised that the song is used to march in schools even after World War 2.

In my country war songs are almost taboo.

I never heard lovely war songs like it in my country.

    I'v never known "Waterloo Bridge".

    Thanks for valuable information.

It is famous also amang movie fans in my country.

So I'll watch it this week for "It's a long way to Tipperary" and beautiful Vivian!

  • The first time I listend this song was "Das Boot". German submariners sang it for joy, even it was a English song.

  • haha, yeah, me too... now i sing it every time i'm at sea (my dad has a boat)

  • It's a very good song :)

  • The lyrics are lovely and peaceful.

I can't believe that it is sung during World War One.

I have never been to Tipperary.

I want to go there someday.

  • menuda soba! Thanks!

  • Thank you for your comment!
