Did they discontinue the 300 or something? it's not on the ibanez page. And was that a custom paint job or the lighting? I wish they made yellow jazz basses.
i guess it does depend on how often you play...recently got a btb 556 six string with the 18v preamp, and it eats through batteries. however, the battery in my atk is still going strong...probably been in there for as long as you had yours now. i'm still pretty impressed with the battery life in the atk's preamp....
that's a damn good question...i've had an atk for 12 years now, and the battery is never dead whenever i get around to changing it. i do notice a slight drop in output over time, but usually i change it every 2 to 6 months, depending on how often i play while plugged into an amp. hope that bit of info helped...
well, the original hysteria is not clean distortion, there is fuzz and some more crazy things like filters... But yeah, great sound he's got and great playing. I have one atk300 and odb3, and when you take good setting it could kill devil ;)
I use a Russian Big Muff, you should check it out, you can get a much wider range of tones that a OBD-3, and its only 60 bucks, and its got true hardware bypass.

Oh, and by the way, Chris uses a modded Big Muff, the guitar one. Hysteria came along before the bass big muff.

studio hysteria has a synth line (not from bass) an OD line (prob odb3) and a clean line.

It's 3 channels. an Akai Deep Impact Bass synth, a clean line, AND a fuzz box...it's not distortion.

oh...and the fuzz box is a russian Big Muff (green one)
