  • 0:51 Cillian's reaction = 0.0

  • Best scene. Cillian Murphy is so underrated. RIP Pete.

  • 0:51....Hans, you really are incredible. The way the music just sparks there. Amazing, musical genius. Thumbs up if you still appreciate REAL music.

  • 528491 best soundtrack ever

  • I choke up every time. Beautiful scene.

  • The definition of Goosebumps

  • Cilian Murphy made this scene his bitch.

  • cillian murphy is a phenomenal actor. extremely underrated

  • I'm still confused about this last part of the movie. Why does Fisher's subconsious make him believe his actually said he was disspointed he tried to be like (that he loved him)? Surely this only makes sense if they planted the windmill in the safe as part of the dream architecture and Fisher saw the windmill FIRST. But his father speaks first. What actually makes him believe that WAS what his dad said? Surely they need to forge/fake the father?

  • @SuperSparkyMark1 The point of the dream was not to make Fisher believe what his father said but to introduce the idea that he must sever his ties from his father as just the instrument of his father's ambitions of a global power and to seek out his own destiny as a person. The dream was meant as a movie to help him highlight what his own life is and to help him grow as a person. It was meant to stimulate something in his subconscious to influence his decisions.

  • This literally gives me goosebumps every time I watch it.

  • @TracyxStano

    tell me about it.

  • @TracyxStano I agree. I love this scene. I think I've actually teared up a few times :)

  • Oh how I love that the dislikes aren't even visible :) This scene makes me tear up every time

  • THANK YOU NOLAN. YOU ARE A GENIUS

  • The sad part of this, is that in reality, his father was truly disappointed of him :(

  • @servkalinatek I thought about that too, but you can't actually rule that out, his father could have really meant or belived something like that.

  • @sullgass They also could have damged his relationship with his Godfather.

  • cillian!!!

  • this is, in my opinion, the best scene. It shows the idea being planted in Fischers mind. the nod Eames makes at 2:00 gives me goosebumps..

  • is it weird to have hans zimmer in your ipod?

  • @kerpal3 It's weird not to have him.

  • @TheVGamer thats what I tell my friends lol but some of them think its weird I have movie music

  • @kerpal3

    no why?

  • Bane just blew up the hospital... Did you see that?? LOL

  • Nolan is a pure genius.

  • 2:02 ♥

  • lol after all that action, this was the scene that had the most tension and suspense to it.... Nolan you're a genius

  • I love listening to "528491" on my iPod alone but whenever I'm at a computer I always play this video. The background dialogue and noises from the video just enhance the experience that much more!

  • @Lilz88888888 528491

  • In one word-genius. Inception is the my second best movie I ever saw.

The best is the dark knight.

I guss that no one here can argue with me that cristopher nolan Is a genius and each one of his work it's a fuckin master piece.

The same thing about Hans zimer.

This tow guys are simply born to do this job and in everthing that connected to cinema they are my favorite. And from my view of point-they also the best.

  • What's the music called in the background?

  • Would of been cooler if you included the "Kick" scene in this as well.

  • I love how in Fischer's mind he got his catharsis and realized that last ray of hope that his father actually loved him but in reality his father didn't. Its just his disillusionment. It adds a very sad twist to Fischer's end. Best movie ever

  • @oNemesis94o Maybe his father really loved him. But that's the point. We'll never know.

  • This is the most memorable scene from the movie, even more so than Cobb's and Mal's resolution near the end.

  • @merksperk2 I felt the movie was let-down by Mal's actor, I haven't seen it in awhile but I always remembered how much she annoyed me.

    Everyone else was brilliant though.

  • Cilian Murphy (the dying guy's son) also played Scarecrow in the Batman films. He is such an amazing underrated actor

  • This scene is wonderful. A dying father's words can shake a son's foundations, and to truly understand how much a father really loved a son can tear you apart and change your life. This scene always brings tears to my eyes. It reminds me of my beloved father.

I thank the makers and whoever posted it.

  • This made me cry out!!!

  • 0:51 ! Inception

  • Most intense and emotional scene in any movie i have ever witnessed!

  • I always like the little camera shake in the long shot when the door opens in front of Fischer and pans in. Makes it seem like there's still a bit of reality present in the dream world.

  • I don't see how one movie can have so much special effects, scenery, good acting, epic music, action, romance, comedy, and thinking.

  • this is one of the best, moving and powerful scenes I've ever watched.

  • This is probably the saddest thing I've seen from any work of fiction ever made.

This scene is why I will argue that Inception is among the greatest movies ever made.

    Thank you, Inception.

  • R.I.P Pete Postlethwaite =(((

  • @fsk2117 1000 likes for u!!

  • I agree with the description.

  • Thumbs up if you got goosebumps watching this video

  • People Raise ur hands who have seen this video more than 100 times.. I raised mine! :D

  • @saranath1990 ive seen the entire movie more than 100 times :D

  • I'm not sure whether to cry, dance, faint, fight, uh, I feel freezing with the amount of chills. Hans Zimmer. You are ... the shiz.

  • If you've never seen Inception before and you just watched this clip for the first time, your brain just turned into goo.

  • Now, whenever I want a good chill and goosebumps I just watch this clip... Movie history right here, gets me every time.

  • Awesome!

  • This on Bluray in 5.1 is beyond amazing!

  • 2010's greatest achievment was Inception.

  • 2:45 shit you remind me that I forgot to buy the DVD!

  • Thumbs up if you were sent here by Hans Zimmer!!!

  • Yeah. I almost cried at this scene. I'm not a crier, but the rest of the movie had blown my mind to smithereens and I had no emotional control left... Oh I loved it.

  • And now i have to watch it again!

  • Very similar to the Dark Knight and Batman Begins OSTs, but in his defense it is for the same director, so he may request similar music. Also every artist has a "style".

  • this makes me want to watch the movie again...for the millionth time!!

  • Paprika > Inception

  • Am I the only one who didn't get here through hans zimmer.

  • @dulsonguillermo

That is why I visited it just now :))

  • WHO THE FUCK DISLIKED THIS

  • @Bigmanwithagun13 me problem?

  • @EkaterinaItsMePedro sorry I'm 12 and can't fight my own battles, you got me

  • Hans Zimmer just shared this link on facebook ;) thought you would like to know that :)

  • @dulsonguillermo I'm from that link too :D

  • Outstanding performance by Hans Zimmer.

  • Watching this movie and listening to this soundtrack is better than sex.

Doing either or is still better

  • The combination of Zimmer and Nolan is just too good. Love it, and love this scene.

  • My parents, sister, bro-in-law all hated this movie. I LOVED IT!

  • I am here because of Hans Zimmer - The Legend!

  • @umair4x4 me2, but who gives a shit?

  • Best scene of a amazing movie!

  • for some strange reason, this is my favorite scene from this movie. there's just a magic to it.

  • love this scene <3

  • I love how the entire movie is resolved by Fisher seeing the spinning toy, leading his sub-conscious to conclude and accept that his dad did care about him, and just wanted him to make something better out of himself. Absolutely brilliant! :-)

  • Beautiful music by Hans Zimmer

  • Christopher Nolan is the Da Vinci of movies. :D

  • Program complete. Enter when ready.

  • Being someone who always had alot of expectations from my family, this was insanely touching.. I actually had a dream about this, months after watching the movie, which made me search for the scene.. "No, I was disappointed that you tried..".. Insane chills, got quite emotional

  • 1 people was inceptioned.

  • This scene is emotional as fuck (I mean that in a good way). Nolan's critics have accused his movies of being cold and lacking emotion. Whilst I personally don't like saccharine nonsense that manipulates the audience into tears at the end of every movie, I guess this scene answers his critics in part.

  • whats the music in the background?

  • @Paren95 It's called 528491 by Hans Zimmer, the god of epic soundtracks

  • @danhair Thank you my good man. Yes indeed, it is truly epic!

  • When Fischer's dad told him he wasn't disappointed in him but disappointed he tried to be like him.....was that what he really said in real life or was that just part of the inception to show that his dad really did love him?

  • @XF0N It was just part of the Inception

  • Inception is my all time favorite movie! Also on my favorites list is; The Dark Knight, Memento, and The Prestige. Christopher Nolen is freakin amazing!

  • This is the best scene I have ever seen in any movie, and the saddest. I cannot express in words how I feel right now, even if it's all fake. This is just beautiful.

  • this scene makes me cry every time.

  • What does the toy signify? i dont get that part

  • @1311dellman What Toy ? Are you on about the paper windmill thing ?

  • @1311dellman it was a pin wheel he made with his dad when he was a kid.

  • @1311dellman when Eames spies on the son for the first time, you see the dad knock over a picture. the picture is him and his son bonding over a windmill that they made together when Fisher Jr. was a kid. but the son thought his father, Fisher Sr., didn't care because "he didn't even notice." the windmill was supposed to show that the dad loves him. thus, the positive emotion Cobb wanted to put in Fisher Jr's head.

  • Its the one called 528491

  • Does anyone know which score this one is? I thought it was #11 on the Inception list but it doesn't have that loud and speedy violin to it, plz help I really want to know what this ones called?

  • @Meda01 it's called 528491

  • @VFruz You fing ROCK!!!

  • The music of this scene could make absolutely anything truly epic.

  • @chiprahn. You're right. Its one of the best background scores. The music of Hans Zimmer which mesmerizes every1.

  • The music of this scene could make absolutely ANYTHING truly epic.

  • LOVE this scene, the music and message are worth the 7 bucks.

  • This is one of the best scenes out of any movie I have ever scene

  • @kickass2451 Indeed one of the best scenes. Very few movies show emotions between father and son. Very well shot.

  • watching the movie make me realize. The truth is that you be forever hated by your dad but receive his vast empire of wealth. The dream is that your dad love you and want you to become your own man.

Even though it was the dream implanted, he is now content with his life. So win-win to everybody.

  • 2:01 *Sigh* Tom Hardy is amazingly gorgeous

  • @field442 Yeah, the score for this movie was amazing, truly superb. But I think the score for social network might win

  • I have to admit that this scene is amazing. I didn't see the paper windmill coming and it choked me up. Purely brilliant.

Right on about the rotating corridoor scene tough. Amazing scene that is.

  • As hard as it is to look past the rotating corridor, this truly is the best scene in Inception...or any Nolan film for that matter.

  • The score for this scene fits perfectly. If Hans Zimmer doesn't win an Oscar for this soundtrack there is no justice in the world.

Pete Postlethwaite, the guy playing Robert Fischer's father in this scene recently passed away. He was one of the great character actors of his time. RIP

  • @field442 There is no Justice in the world... *sob*
