I had this problem, if u go to the punkbuster website there is a part about manual updating ur punkbuster! it tells u to make some file and put some stuff u download off the site!! I hope this helps you out mate :)

MonkeyWarlord i had the same problem and they helped me so what you want to do is send EA an email with your Activation Code on the back of your manual, Your user name and pass that you use to log into Battlefield 2142: Deluxe and tell them that it wont let you activate northern strike it says system error and they will automatically put Northern Strike into your user name so you can now play. They just did that for me today.

What do you mean by first sniper? Hm you probably mean the rifle and if so its because its the best and most accurate rifle :P but I dont play this game anymore here it is almost 2009 and this video was made in early 2007.

but i agree with you there, but the advanced sniper rifle has higher acuracy and even though the park 259 rifle can kill faster it is no match for a long range shot with the advanced sniper rifle!

the zeller is far worse than the park and the moretti.. the color of the scope makes it unusable on maps like suez and tunis.. it has less rounds and isn't more precise... the only thing that's better about it is that it does 11 more damage per shot...

I think it is great and moreover, every NS award you get gives you an unlock.

I got it and it's great. I do like the unlock for every NS award system. The vehicles and maps combined with that make it worth it.

When i try to enter Northern Strike maps

i just get a error telling me

"This server only allows players with unmodified content to join."

i hav the 1.50 patch and i tryed to Re-Install the game but i get the same error on Northern Strike maps.

I found out how to get Northern Strike maps to work Step.1 uinstall BF2142 Step.2 Install BF2142 Step.3 Install Patch 1.40 Step.4 Add Northern Strike Step.5 Add Patch 1.40 again Final Step Add Patch 1.50 Now the messege: this server only allows players with unmodified content to join. Goes away and the boosterpack works great Enjoy.

need help again. installed on vista ult. 64 and i get kicked from a server after like 60 sec, it just pops up in main menu saying "pnkbuster". i never hack and i have a fast computer with 32 ping. i cant figure it out. i just installed it and put 1.5 patch on, thats all ive done so far.

1.Left click the BF2142 shortcut icon.

2.Hit properties and click on Shortcut.

3.Under shortcut you press advanced.

4.Make sure ''Run With Different Credentials'' is marked.

its not that great.. all he does is shoot 1 person then changes to another screen of him shooting. Sometimes he accomplishes something great by getting a couple kills in 1 screen.

Headshot = dead. That's what makes even the standard rifles good. You don't need a Zeller to be a good sniper, as long as you aim for the head.

I have both games and I think both have their merits. BF2 is much harder on snipers than 2142. With demo packs in 2142 snipers actually have a use in a squad.

yeah, never reload until you have 2 or less rounds left since it only takes 1 shot to kill. You should get atleast 2 kills per clip if not more. Also, your too aggressive with your knife, but you do get nice headshots. Good job, I give 3 stars only because theres no music.

Now i have Vista ultimate and they are laggy as hell. Im looking to upgrade my video card to see if that'll fix it. I have an old 6800 GS right now :(

knifing on this game is wierd, sometimes when u slash them they dont die even when u hear thr sound, and the actual length of ur soldiers arm is very deceptive, it looks like hes got half an arm, in my opinion, anyway check out my vids the "knife n snipe" one is my best one so far, i only have 2:(

its not really that easy to knife in this game or snipe, even getting a simple headshot is pretty hard, because u my aim for head, but u could slightly miss and hit his chest, this is why the stablilizer is a good unlock for recons (snipers) if your sniping you also need to see your target, this is why u shoould aslo get the hytek zoom unlock

if you are knifing u have to use certain tactics just like u would if you used a sniper, there is a move called the rush

True. The zeller is a great sniper rifle but the problem is the 3 round clips. I use the moretti the most. I never saw a tank in NS. lol.

your shooting is great and you have some potential, although i choose from the stock and zeller, i use the one i feel is working for me that day. i also see that after like one shot you reload your clip, it doesn't carry over the leftover bullets, and it causes problems when your being attacked while reloading in close range. i don't mean to rain down on your video, just pointing out that you can a much better sniper if you reload less often. it took me a while to get where i am with sniping

Good snipers don't use the zeller. A head shot is an insta-kill whether or not you're using the unlock sniper or the stock ones. And the stock ones have a 5 round clip and a better scope.
