Only someone born in the last 10-15 years with the brain of a kumquat would compare something like this, a piece of true art to some atrocious pile of garbage like 'pokemon'

and you know, even when I was a kid, watching 'thundercats' and 'he-man', and TMNT, I never would've compared them to this

This was done by people with true talent and skill...not some poor brain-dead Korean kids they pulled off the street like pokemon is.

@BrutoDaBurlyGoon I really gotta agree. This is true art when it comes to cartoons. Dont get me wrong now I love my anime but a lot of western cartoons are just to much of a toy commercial to try and get kids to buy more and more toys. Take for example the original gi joe. Every time they came up with a new vehicle or character they came out in toy form for kids to just buy not a month later. Same goes for stuff like batman the brave and the bold, teen titans, ben 10 and so on and so on

@BrutoDaBurlyGoon i'm sorry, who are you to say that pokemon is garbage? i grew up with both disney and pokemon, both are a big part of my childhood and what made who i am today. both are awesome in their own special style and no one has the right to tell that one of them is better or not. you sir are a big pile of sh*t to make fun of it. you're the garbage. not pokemon! both disney and pokemon are awesome!

@Denika248 Even giving latitude for Pokemon's particular "style" it cannot be placed in the same category as the Disney shorts of the age this one came from. Neither in quality, production, writing or animation. It's not even close. Even the Pokemon movies aren't up to par with animation such as this.

@MrBubbleswallower I am a Disney fan, I really love Donald, but I guess I understand what you're saying. I was impressed by the references to the World War in this cartoon. In those years, these events were still recent and the shock they left in the hearts and minds was still alive. Disney somehow mirrored this mood, I think ; in fact, a lot of Disney stuff suffered censorship, in those days, and mocking the war was a way of exorcizing the shock....
