..... it has a custom intake.... ??? That looks pretty stock to me. Sounds like you MIGHT have taken off the Intake Resonator, and you said you installed a K&N filter, but that doesn't really make it a custom CAI.
I routed a tube from the intake box to the cowl and set up a ramp to the front intake (c9ollie and HRW mods) which together have proved to lower IATs by 10 degrees or more
Really? Sounds good. Sorry if I seemed a bit rude earlier, I was frustraited seeing all the shitty comments people were posting on some other vids......
10 degrees or more?!?!...... wow, that's pretty damn good. I mean, the stock intake box already flowed like crazy, It's almost useless to put on a CAI replacement unless your doing something big.
I... did that for someone...... It might have been me..... hehe.
SPIman2.0 on the forums. One of the moderators of my local forum. I did a few how-to's on intake and exhaust work that didn't involve replacing the entire system.
i have a 02 focus with around 140k on it and its just fine...just take care of it...its not a svt...but just dont take the things 100mph everywhere and you'll be fine...only had to replace the alternator, thermostat housing, and timing belt on mine and its great
how many rpms are you running when you start it up. and how long does it take for them to drop to under 1k?

yeah a guy on focus fanatics got all the engine data from each intake style and it showed a pretty good drop in temps
