no, this is nothing to do with the last 2 films, this was based of the Amon devilman manga

@ExNausea Actualy it connects to both. while the old films werent exactly the same as the manga they kept the same happenings, thats why when Ryou shows the world the video of Akira turing into devilman it was a redo of the nightclub scene from the birth.
