@stratman06 Leukocytes are able to chase bacteria via chemotaxsis, meaning that as the bacteria moves it leaves a chemical trail that receptors on the surface of the leukocyte are able to detect and respond to by rapidly extending the cytoskeleton in the direction of the activated receptors. The cell continously breaks down and rebuilds the cytoskeleton in the direction of the bacteria, creating movement toward it until it catches it and folds it's membrane around it, pulling it inside.

How does the white cell know the bacteria moved in that direction, its chasing after it how? They don't have eyes or anything and the bacteria doesn't leave a trail. How is it doing this?

@ListentoStyle Cells don't have eyes, eyes are made of cells! The cell can follow the bacteria as it is following the trail of chemicals that the bacteria leaves. You can't see the trail but molecules in the leukocyte let it move towards high concentrations of this chemical attractant (chemoattractant)- so it can engulf the bacteria. :)
