I am also playing together with my brother (the same, violin and cello) and we are also still very young, ...but not that young... Very good! Keep them going on with that!
Some day they`ll be even more glad that they have started that soon!
The older one started at 7 and the younger at 5 but he (younger) played violin for almost 2 years before switching to cello. I also started at the same time as the oldest but he took off and left me in the dust. Keep trying, never give up.
