  • "No reason, just rhyme." I love Grover. :)

  • It was four years ago today that this was uploaded. I was just watching it and happened to notice.

This is a rare occasion where Eric Jacobson performs Grover as a waiter. The only other time was at Birdland, when the Squirrell Nut Zippers performed.

  • Bikes never crashed alone. what does that mean?

  • The Blue guy died of a heart attack...

  • Hahaha! I love Grover. I've watched this video probably like 10+ times and I laugh EVERY time!

  • "no reason. just rhyme."

  • I'm sure this is the first time Grover has worn collar and cuffs.

And Fat Blue might do well to take out a restraining order against him.

  • You know, perhaps Grover got the idea to do this recalling an incident about thirty seven years beforehand. Apparently there was an episode from the sixth season in which Big Bird pulled this rhyming thing on Grover in Hooper's.

  • Next time Mr. Johnson should get asked for the manager to get his meal or get Grover fired. Grover always has a history of getting fired from every job he has from department store salesman to waiter. Grover and Mr. Johnson have a lot of issues together.

  • just the eat the apple pie, tuna is disgusting

  • karkovice10,

    xD, awesome))

  • "Wherever I go, he's always there."

It would be so funny if Grover would say: That's right! I'm your worst nightmare...

    *evil laugh*

  • Orange.

  • I wonder why Fat Blue said "Oh no, not you" to Waiter Grover in this skit.

    What do you think?

  • Comment removed

  • cuz with all these different skits, the fat blue ALWAYS gets grover as his waiter

  • I think it's an apron. But that's just my guess. :)

  • Comment removed

  • Haha! Oh! I definately did not read that right! I thought that you said Grover was in a SKIRT!

    Hahaha! Oops.

  • Okay. But why did Fat Blue say "Oh no, not you" to Waiter Grover in this skit even though he's used to seeing Grover at "Charlie's Restaurant" since he's there on this skit?

  • Grover always gives him trouble and he always hopes he'll get someone else.

  • Okay. Thanks, MarshalGrover.

  • I'm guessing the writers are so used to having him say that in other places, they just weren't thinking this time around.

  • @Garrettk41 I think you're right about that as well, man.

  • His mustache is much bigger than it once was.

  • Funny skit considering it's a newer one, but it's just not the same without Frank Oz doing the voice of Grover.

  • Fat Blue and Grover certainly seemed to do quite a lot of rhymes in this sketch.

  • i kno thats not frank performing grover

  • Grover actually got Mr. Johnson's order right on 2 occasions, both of which lead to either Grover pushing him into the food in front and back of him, or when he was told there would be no tables, only chairs, and Grover had the movers pull his table away from him. Those 2 distractions are what made Mr. Johnson's hunger grow over the last 30 years, and their feud. The latest one is the russion resturaunt clip. Is that one on YouTube, yet?
  • where is Charlie we never see him lol

  • Fat Joe looks so different now lol

  • how come Fat Blue never shot Grover, LOL. He always drives him nuts.

  • LINOLEUM!

    *Fat Blue faints*

    XD!

  • anyone have that soup, roast beref and peach pie thing. i'd loce to see it.

  • Fat Blue is in trouble. Nothi ng rhymes with Cheeseburger. It is my favorite thing to eat though. With Fries and an Iced Tea. Oh God. Now I am hungry too.

  • Fat blue.... Grover I am gong to have you taken to a place starting with the letter J and it rhymes with snail and sail and pail. Where am I gong to have you taken to?______

Grover.... watermelon? I don't know sir.

    Fatblue... you can't guess?

    Grover no sir

Fat Blue... Come on in boys in blue.

  • Is there ever a time when Grover gets it right?

  • grover was my fave. i coulnt understand why he kept eating peanut butter if it caused him problems.

  • why do i come here? why!? why!?...

  • This reminds me of Spongebob and Squidward :D

  • Wow. Except like twenty thousand times better...a grossly insulting comparison. Blech.

  • "Oh no reason, just rhyme."

I dunno why, but the way Grover said that is so funny!

  • It's cool that they're making these again, but the new Fat Blue puppet is bizarre-looking. There have been several over the years, but none of them looked too different from the others. This one? Yeesh. It's like they weren't even trying very hard.

I notice they also "refurbished" Charlie's a bit. I guess the old backdrop was finally thrown out. They sure did use it a long time.

  • haha "i'm a poet, i do not know it... i dit again"

  • Also, aside from Fat blue's big eyes, grover looks different as well. He looks like he is about to cry while wearing his bow tie, Grover is such a silly guy. And that is not it, grover sometimes can be a git!

  • I can't even tell the difference between Eric Jacobson and Frank Oz most of the time

  • fat blue probably went to McDonalds (poor service galore) because i don't know how he ever ate, he doesn't cook.

  • Hvae you ever noticed that the modern Grover is somewhat slow-witted when he's with other characters, but he's a lot smarter when he's on his own?

  • lol love it!

  • Why does Fat Blue always returns to the same restaurant where he is so poorly served, and usually faints in the end? Is he masochist or has short memory? :-)

  • It's his Short-Term Memory Loss (like another user had said on some of the Waiter Grover Sketches here on YouTube).

  • "I'm a poet and I do not even know it." Hilarious!

  • Hey Grover, how about 'hamburger'!

  • This must be an early episode, they look and sound different.

  • No. It was from this current season.

  • @jonnytbirdzback Really??? They're still doing these sketches?

  • What would give you idea that this was from the 70's? Fat Blue never said to Grover, "Oh no! Not you again!" Until the late 80's or early 90's

  • I wish Grover could try to jip Pentacostal TV Preacher Mike Murdock out of all his money like he does with fat blue.

  • "Wherever I go, he's always there."

That sounded quite ominous, if you ask me.

  • limburger rhymes with cheeseburger

  • Limburger??? What's on that??????

  • limburger is a cheese that tastes like crap!

  • XelaRini likes limburger which doesn't taste like crap.

  • I'll take the apple pie

  • They brought Fat Blue back after a 8-year hiatus, and they're still using new skits in a classic way. I like that.

  • Yikes! His eyes are huge!

  • Yeah, he's gone a little crazy from years of Grover.

  • My head hurts from giggling

  • This is great. Keep posting more new stuff from Sesame Street.

  • "Wherever I go, he's always there."

Not quite, dude. Have you forgotten about Pizzeria Dos?

  • Hey Fat Blue, Why not try eating at Hooper's Store? Grover doesn't work there.

  • With Fat Blue's luck, he might just be there on a day when Grover is filling in for Alan. Lol.

  • Does anyone have the sketches of Fat Blue eating at Hooper's Store?

If anybody has those sketches, please be sure to have whatever person that does upload them for me and everyone else.

  • @owenpeterson he did, when Elmo bragged Abby to changed season making Fat Blue and Chris miserable.

  • @owenpeterson But you know Grover will get a job there if you decide to eat there. Grover is EVERYWHERE!

  • I think it was Shelly who once said.." On no! LOL!

  • This just came out this year. I know because Eric Jacobsen is performing Grover in this sketch.

  • I see, Fat Blue looks quietly different from his earlyer apperances, but not his voice, Jerry Nelson shure has it in him after all thos years!

  • He looks different alright. Why did they give him such big, bulgy eyes? What exactly was the point?
