  • I LOL's So har when he did that 360 degree turn on one leg!

  • DEAKY, THE SASSMASTER!

  • does anybody knows why is he retired from queen?

  • @joshuae251 He thinks that it's no longer sense playing without Freddie.

  • @MrEvans555 yeah... i think so....

  • Why he retires! He should join Roger and Brian!

  • The bass player is the element which brings the whole thing together...

he smoothes everthing ..gets it goin ..slows it down again..brings it to life and keeps it rolling...

    go johnny go!

  • Hey friend, here isn´t that epic moment at the end of wembley concert in 1986 when John is running.

  • Freddie's flashiest moments=wearing skin tight leotards and playing air guitar on his microphone while being given a piggyback by a guy dressed as Darth Vadar.

John's flashiest moments=bouncing up and down a little bit

And yet somehow I find John's moments much more entertaining :D

  • @teotorriatte7 There's also a moment at Milton Keynes concert when John dodges banana! Ultra ninja skills: D

  • lllloooolllllll dancing deaky :)

  • The harmony at 1:31. <3

  • i have not a favourite member but deaky obviously kicks ass

  • My favorite queen member

  • Faltó Bassline de Kind of magic en Wembley!!! esa fue genial!

  • what's the sing at 0:33 ??? o.O

  • @turatino Liar

  • One of the greatest (if not, the greatest) bass guitarists of all time.

  • woah those were some pretty flashy moments

  • is he still alive right now?

  • wow at 0:05 i thought it was geddy lee

  • Happy Birthday!

  • Happy Birthday! :D

  • Happpy birthdaaaay to u, ur the worlds greatesssttttt bass player

  • Happy 60th birthday John!!!

  • Now on to seriousness, John is the man! he's my personal favorite of the 4. His awesome bass playing, his awesome songs he made, and DAT HAIR! John retired long ago but he's still remembered by me and all of his fans. He inspired me to try to play bass, though Ill NEVER be as good as him, in fact NO one will. Long Live Deacon!

  • On Dragon Attack live it's more obvious Deaky's in the drivers seat, allowing Freddie and Brian to stick their heads outta window like purebreds gone crazy:P John's not about virtuosity like lead bass of Pagliari, Sheehan, more the feelings in fingers & where he should live in the songs. Each note he plays has delicious melodic beauty and almost feels secretive and sacred, quiet powers of Haiku LOL. Maybe explains his hardcore following in Japan:P "In Praise of Shadows" anyone?

  • The infamous Deacon audible vocals on Liar. I thought he would have sounded like Barney from the Simpsons the way the legend has been built up over the years over his bad vocals. He sounded OK, very flat and obviously not on a par with the rest of the band.

  • @amr7037 lol u mad bro. If he wasnt in Queen he wouldve been an electrician, but instead he joined Queen to become the best bass player this world has ever seen. He's rich, he's had his nice life. Dont worry, you wont have any sort of good life like him. Uhhh blocked and I hope you go burn in fire. Kbai

  • deacy@prick i fucking hate him queen should of kicked him out years ago

  • @amr7037 WHY!?!?!?!?!?!?!? ur such a low live loser to hate this amazing bass player

  • @amr7037 Shame on You. Die. Die Right now. Die in fire. Let the bass of awesomness kill You. With fire. Die. Just fucking die right now.

  • @amr7037 Are you still at it, you nasty peice of space, leave John Deacon alone.

  • @cornflower10 stick a cornflower in your own bottom,do reply sooon x

  • @amr7037 STOP IT U MORON, LEAVE HIM ALONE, HES THE BEST WHILE U SIT IN UR PARENTS BASEMENT AND HATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @amr7037 IF YOU HATE HIM SO MUCH WHY BOTHER TO WATCH HIS VIDEO`S.

  • He is so AWESOME!!! He is also one of the most underrated bass players of all time! Plus a great songwriter: You're My Best Friend, Another One Bites the Dust, I Want to Break Free, and he also co-wrote Friends Will Be Friends with Freddie Mercury. I also loved to watch him on dvd both during the music videos and in concert...He was great! Love you John!

  • wats the song at 0:22

  • @finkelink Let Me Entertain You

  • @queen86wembley Thanks man.

  • LOL

  • John doesn't like to be called Deacon John.

  • I wish that Deaky would find the strength and courage to appear at least once during this 40th year of Queen's formation. I understand his desire to withdraw, but in honor of all his accomplishments and those of the band, and maybe most importantly, in honor of Freddie, I hope he shows his face to the fans sometime this year, even if he doesn't play.

  • @Ferom79 spread your wings/another one bites the dust/i want to break free <3

  • he did that awesome leg split during hammer to fall!

  • Second best member of Queen!

  • There's one, I think it's "I'm in Love with My Car", where John is soooo obviously into the music. It's all the more special because neither he (or Roger IMO) ever got enough camera time and then there they are, both digging on one of the best Queen songs ever with no Brian or Freddie in sight. Miss you, John, but glad you recognize that Queen is four people, not three or two or one.

  • Great to see John let himself go.

One of the best songwriters there was and very few people realise it.

  • I love Deaky soo much, he's adorable! <3 I can't help but smile when I see a picture of him. Those bassists, man.

  • gotta love John jumping around :) he's such a sweetheart! John, please, come back, wherever you are, we miss your awesome bass rifs.. why God didn't save the Queen?

  • John Deacon, I love you, and your jumping and your dancing and that AMAZING bass solo! It's the best that I've heard in my life!

  • John is such an awesome bassist. I love that he stood ground and refused to play with Paul Rogers or Rodgers or Stupid...spell it how you want. I love Queen...and Freddie. There's a place for all 4 of these amazing musicians...and John is right up there with his bass rifts. Love him! Where is he now?

  • haha love the movees

  • i really cant understand y he never sang along...he isnt a skilled singer but has a cooland little odd voice

  • Love that at 0:53! Anyone knows if there's a full song/version of that?

  • @Ixamp Yep, and song's called "Liar"

  • DEACON LOOKS JUST LIKE THE DUDE THAT PLAYED : FREDDY KRUGER / NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET ......

  • John deacon is the best bass player ever!!! It is a shame that he i so underrated, no list for the bass players I find have him!!! He should definitely be regarded as one of the best

  • @ultimaterocker12 I've been playing bass for 30 years and I totally agree.

He does what an amazing bass player can do : Shine in the background.

He bass is not taking the song over, . . but without it, it would not be as half good.

He should be in the top 5 for those stupid f&*king lists.

  • @GaryNull right on! Queen were instrumentally a power trio (without Freddie on piano) and Deacon held them together - not an easy thing.

  • @GaryNull and phill lynot? is he also in that list? john is my fav bass player but i also adore phill lynot

  • Brian May said about John Deacon and Roger Taylor"Sonic Volcano". That's a nice comment! :-) I wish that John is living with happiness.

  • I love his beautyfull song "You're my best friend".

  • @DepecheQueen I love how he's shy and unassuming, yet some of Queen's biggest hits were written by him!

  • John Deacon - classy guy. Loyal friend. Awesome bassist.

  • Deaky was the unsung hero of Queen. If you could eliminate Deaky's bass from any of their songs you would realize how important he was to Queen. Bass player are the core of any good group.

  • @kageees2276 Hell yeah! His bass is integral to the Queen sound! Plus, him and Roger together made such a strong foundation of sound to build from, as Brian said!

  • i laughed so hard at 0:24 hahaha xD

  • he probably dosnt know he is doing that he is so cute i love him and i hope Queen never dies :(

  • @blondii14 XD It make him even cuter if he doesn't realize he's cute XD I mean, Freddie knows he's sexy, and we all agree, but Brian has no idea he's adorable and that makes us love him even more XD Same for Deaky!

  • if someone saw my comment on the "Deacon bass riff" video..... this shows what i wrote.... HILARIOUS!!! and sad.....

  • he is so funny even though he is shy he can be the most funniest man alive :)

  • Beautiful video!!! John!!!!!!!

  • He is the perfect man.

So lovely, smart, funny, an amazing friend, a great artist...

aww Deaky I love you so much :')

  • awesome! please do a youtube video for you fans mr deacon

  • Deacon - the soul of QUEEN.

  • @Lennononly Yep! Deacy is the soul of Queen, Roger is the heart of Queen, Freddie is the face of Queen, and Brian is the spirit of Queen <333

  • @SpiirytStarrchild No, if Freddie is the face, Brian is the hair xD

  • @honeycombfromheaven HHAAHHA You're right XD

  • At 0.05-through about 0.08 it looks like John Deacon got the shivers

  • @mikey7619 Hahha I thought he was about to orgasm there.

  • is that Freddie's sex face at 0:39 ?

i'm so turned on right now!

  • @mydesigirl84 Every Freddie face is a sex face <333 XD Same goes for Roger!

  • Go on John!

  • Deacon, one of the smartest and clever bass player ever. He understand perfectly what is rock and roll and how the bass can shine and make a song better.

  • Instead of that stupid ass Boris Johnson... .

John Deacon could be Mayor of London !

    SDMF

    Queen \M/

    Rock ON !

  • Ahhh if he was 40 years younger...... :)

  • john entwistle 4 ever

  • @TaroGabunia Hey, John Entwistle is fantastic as well, but no need for that comment on this video... John Deacon is extremely talented!

  • one of the most overlooked bassist of all time !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha ! What a fantastic guy ! I really love him

  • Haha, happy birthday, Deacy

  • Happy 59, Deaky!

  • Happy birthday John!! :D Queen wouldn't be Queen w/out your epic bass playing skills x)

  • What is the song at 0:33?

  • @ILoveEverything14 The song is called Liar. It's from the first Queen album.

  • @ILoveEverything14 "Liar"

  • John, the best for me...so left out by ppl who dnt understand Queen, us real Queen fans understand how important he was

  • @MsDeakyMayTayMercury <-- love that name.

  • Love you John(:

  • i am 14 and i play bass :) deacy is my idol ;D he plays bass like a god ;O disgustingly :(

  • flashy moments = when john actually does something

  • @flakko86 If you stay in your place and do what you must to do with no imposing yourself, it means that you do nothing? Some of the best hits was written by John Deacon, if you don't know that. He's a great musician and man. And if you claim that he had done nothing you are completely stupid!

  • @alexandergenov1984 EXACTLY

  • oh fuckkkk.... that LIAR solo..... fucking great darlings!!

  • Un grand chorégraphe ce Deacy

  • I love to see him sing backup during Liar :D

Also, he's looking WAY hot during In The Lap Of The Gods at like 0:05-0:11

  • what is the name of the song that apears from 0:05 to 0:10 ??¡¡, please answer¡¡

  • @altoromance94 In the lap of the gods, I think

  • @Sukriti Yes, it is! Sounds different due to it was live :)

  • the more he strums his bass guitar. . .the more I just fall for him. . ♥♥♥

  • HAHAHA! I love that first clip of John when Queen played at Wembley in '86. Is he swatting mosquitoes or what's the deal?!?! Just great...

  • Deaky is so cute! I love the adorable way he moves and smiles! I like how his "flashiest moments" are him just being cute subtly XD

  • Nothing says '80s' like yellow short shorts on stage.

  • what is the title of their song in 4:00 to 10:00? tnx

  • IM SO JEALOUS OF VERONICA TETZLAFF!

  • TWO WORDS, EXTREMELY HOT!

  • 0:00 - 0:04

I think I'm gonna die XD

  • great. simply great.

    John is definetly underrated.

btw. the song is called "let me entertain you"

  • Which is the name of the song from 0:21-0:31? Please, thanks

  • It's called "Let Me Entertain You". The video is from Montreal '81.

  • thanks ;)

  • Buen video,me suscribo!!!!!!!!

  • Liar is a GREAT song with a GREAT solo

  • 0;23 Shiny blue pants :)

  • Brian May looked so cool in those white capes of his.

  • He ain't stupid. Stayed far away from the "Queen" with Paul Rodgers nonsense. Godawful. Pathetic. A disgrace to Freddy.

  • The real disgrace to Freddie, is folks who can´t even spell his name right.

  • @henkestenke LOL. you're cool :)

  • @henkestenke you mean Farookh Bommi Bulsara?

or the ones who spell Freddy instead of -ie?

  • @wakmena it's Farrokh Bomi not Farookh Bommi

  • Another disgrace is the fact that people think that Freddie wrote music for himself. YEAH, YOU HEARD ME!! All you people who diss on Paul are disgracing him more than you think Paul is. I'd rather see queen continue (I'm sure Freddie as a musician would agree) and introduce their music to a new audience then just stop because Freddie died. Brian, Rodger and Paul have guts for continuing. Queen wasn't just Freddie's music it was just as much Brian's, Rodger's and John's, so get over it...

  • Great vid ! Thanks for sharing and merry christmas.

  • What's a music without a bass guitar? John Deacon would answer this with a solo. And we would say: "All right, you convinced me".

  • 01:14 to 01:16 I wish I should capture those clips from that......

    T_T

  • Great job my friend. Thank you for uploading

  • "FLASHIEST MOMENTS" hahahaa.... He's always aloof and quiet and has that goofy adorable smile of his. :D

  • always quiet?????????

  • he rarely talked in interviews or on the stage (usually the one who narrated the whole concert were freddie and brian, but even then, roger still talked more than him) and even if he talked he only said a few words before the other member took over. He was not that confident of his singing voice either, so you rarely found him singing as backing vocals together with brian and roger. But on stage, he was always smiling and bobbing his head, walking around in small circle and such. Cute, huh? :D

  • he talked with his bass!

  • errr.... yeah, if you say it like that.... lol.... i was just talkin abt his everyday impression to me... well I think mainly coz I'm a freak and I watch at least one of the concert video once a day :)

  • @kamubegoakujuga The only Queen DVD I've got where you see him talking is 'the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert'.. that was a shock when I first saw/heard that I can tell you

  • @kamubegoakujuga This is what most bass players are like >_>

  • Yeah. Underrated.

  • he was certainly a wild one! lol. what a guy.

  • what done John at Killer Queen?

  • He used to hit the triangle at this song live.

  • this does make you think... what would a queen song BE without john deacon? well firstly, the fact that, according to brian may, john had the most input in the writing of each song, which means that the songs would have been nowhere near as good. And secondly, when brian's playing a huge solo, john is keeping the song afloat with his almost unoticable and yet vital play. COME BACK DEAKY!

  • @queenmercury1991 Not to mention that he was the one who was in charge of the finances, which I think was a huge relief for the other members. (finances in the music business is one hell of a hard work, and a lot of stress) Beside, he created the Deacy Amp. Which means that without him, Brian May's legendary guitar sound wouldn't be what it is.

There is no "weak link" in Queen, it was really 4 equal persons who worked as a whole to create something unique. That's what I love about them.

  • @Canaveral305 Yes, I agree 100% with what you wrote. Queen were struggling financially with their first manager. Queen, IMO, are one of the world's greatest bands, ever.

  • @Canaveral305 i totaly agrre that queen is 4 equally amazing artist, but the main reason brian's guitar sounds different is because he and his dad made it themselves.

  • What song was the third clip?

  • in the lap of the gods live at rainbow

  • I just love the clips from Earl Court, where you can hear him singing. A shame it didn't happen more often !

  • Criminally underrated.

  • @joemichaels1 no he's not he just wanted to be non descript.

  • @nerdflanders8710 Yeah ....I agree with you Deacon was a mister anyone with the most incredible bass lines that rock could have... He also took care of all of Queens legal aspects...and couldn't pay too much attention on the vocals...That why he seldom sang... But created incredible songs such as Fight from the inside !! (I think)

  • @nerdflanders8710 I agree with you. He's shy and unassuming. But because of that, he's not as well known or respected among bass players as he should be. He clearly deserves it.

  • John Deacon is so TALENTED! I wish I could know what he was up to! I just want to see him live, playing the hell out of his bass guitar! I wonder if he just picks it up and just jams sometimes...

Hey, did you know if you hummed the bass line to AOBTD during CPR, the victim has a better chance of survival? NO LIE!

AAAANNNNDDDD Ok, am I the ONLY one who DIED, went to heaven, and came back down when he licked his fingers at 1:11 ?! Cause surely I'm not the only one! Deaky was so cute!

  • @Robin360 don't you think that it's a little bit ironic that you have to hum Another One Bites The Dust in order to try and save someone's life? just saying xp

  • @Robin360 Nope, you're not the only one who felt that way at 1:11 :D and.....yes, you're right, he was really cute *.*

  • Happy Birthday, John -

    August 19.....

  • What's the name of the first song in this video??

  • Crazy Little Thing Called Love

  • Deacon is extremely underrated. He was the sane one of the group who kept everything going. He was a VERY good song writer. He was also musically talented being able to play many different instruments. To this day, even though he retired from performing, he is still active in the business behind queen.

  • Okay So Im Trying to figure out which Voice is John's during The Somebody to Love Bit and i think i got it and buddy can sing!! :)

  • john is very nice and is the best bass player

    john the bassman 4 ever

  • I know right??

  • I Learned How To Play The Bass Line To Another One Bites The Dust! YAY! I Love John Deacon!

  • i personally think that he wanted to retire after Freddie Mercury died because there;s no point in continuing Queen without the greatest showman. John Deacon once said that Freddie can never be replaced (this is after May and Taylor asked Robbie Williams and George Michael to replace Freddie). I still think John Deacon is the best.

  • True that!!

  • John has been negleted alot. If you pay attention to all Queen Videos you barely get to see John Playing. It was all about Freddie, Brian and Roger. To be honest with if I was John that would have pissed me off. No wonder he doesn't wanna know about it anymore. I personally don't blame him. He is a fantastic player and he has put a lot of effort just like the rest of the band. Go Johnny Boy GOOOO!!!

  • John Deacon was not neglected he was chosen as bassist of the band queen because of his quiet demeanour, musical talent and electrical skills, since the band's last bassist before John drew attention away from Freddie Mercury. His bass parts are like little stories, yet he never gets in anyone's way. that's what i got from Wikipedia... :) i think he's the best. Queen forever....

  • I appreciate what you say but it has nothing to do with what I commented on. Watch the Live videos and you see what I mean. I have got them all.

  • Aww, I wish I could just hug him.He did contribute a lot to Queen though. He's an awesome song writer and a fantastic player. <3
