I just wanted to amend my last comment by observing that "Thompson" is much more conventional, usually stradling the fence between metal and hard rock (tho' occasionally they employ folk melodies, and have even used Latin for vocal fragments).

Well it is a bit of a historic song - it's got a known origin! I very much enjoy both Skyforger and Cruachan, but I think that Cruachan taking that song and changing the label was in bad taste, if not only because people (Skyforger!) who listen to the tune give it a new origin and create the ambiguity that so plagues traditional folk tunes.
