  • they've broke up for a while. i hope... wish they come back soon... i wish that i wrote these song... just beautiful music....

  • Fantastic band, but does anyone know if they have broke up? The official home page hasn't been updated for a while, and Wikipedia doesn't tell. Hopefully not! Please tell me.

  • i miss being a kid with no care

  • THIS IS FUCKING INSANE

  • I love Ur nickname! And this song too, of course!

  • 対人恐怖症(Taijin kyofusho symptoms)

  • This song makes me look at everything i'm surrounded by and think about the life

that sounds curiously but it is. I really like this song. it really touched me deeply

  • someone knows other songs like this with violin and the emotion??

  • @GASowner 'Cosmic Call' and 'Prognoz' from the evpatoria report; 'vagabond' from one our before the trip; 'Executioner Blues' and 'A Tender History In Rust' from do make say think...

  • @weminusyou

this sparks my curiousity-- why are you troubled by this anthropocentrism?

in my humble opinion, it is our race's insatiable desire to expand, to better ourselves, which makes us beautiful. we are not perfect, but seek to live on forever out of our own internal will. is this not the greatest triumph of the human condition?

  • The starting makes me think of how disappointing humanity is.

  • a piece of pleasure

  • Comment removed

  • Can anyone tell me the name of the music? Thanks.

  • @Faisaljh post-rock

  • the originality of this masterpiece is both masterful and compelling.

Don't even try to compare this to the likes of modern contemporary music...

  • @ellelaby123 Uhhhh, this is modern contemporary music...

  • its kinda the same all the time, melody is catchy, but its standard melody from many songs, so i call it a cheap remix with a lot of crativity

  • @dermitderMILFtanzt how the hell can you say something like that, have you even listened to the song ? this isn't some mainstream shit to call it "catchy". it's not supposed to be CATCHY, it's not. you can call it whatever you want, the truth is far from your description. if you call this a cheap remix than you obviously know nothing about music and more than that , you remain untouched by the originality of this masterpiece.

go back to 50cent CRAP and stay away from "standard melody". Cretin !

  • @violaskin great response to this idiot i know its been 4 months from now, but i just discovered this beautiful piece of art and i just wanted to say thank you for letting this guy know what trash he talks! :)

  • @dermitderMILFtanzt Dude... what the fuck?

  • @SachalKhan come on its not that good...

  • @dermitderMILFtanzt Have you even listened to the song? 'Standard melody from lots of songs'?

Go and find me another Evpatoria Report. I dare you.

  • @dermitderMILFtanzt Go watch Jersey Shore fag.

  • @juegas go and hang yourself rockfan, this is shit as you are

  • @dermitderMILFtanzt brainless idiot

  • @juegas come on pussy, dont cry

  • @dermitderMILFtanzt fucking loser

  • @juegas but not as fucked as your mother

  • This is a great breathtaking composition

  • ahh shit at 5:00 , that sounds amazing

  • 28 years of listening to music alot of it. but this has to be in my top 5 songs of all time. A Musical Masterpiece! sad that this sound will be used and abused by the mainstream for their own gains. lets enjoy while it lasts people.

  • @juegas Fargin Great Statment !!!!!!!!! Period !

  • @juegas Fargin Great Statment !!!!!!!!! Period ! If you want more on this same level, PM me ! :)

  • IN MEMORY OF COLUMBIA CREW:

  • where can i find this song "live" ?

  • offtopic: I'm 14 and have been listening to post-rock for almost 3 years.. lucky of me ^^

This is one of the most moving songs ever

  • The Mars Volta!

  • @DicatiDrew fuck you and mars volta shit fucking band

  • I love Pink Floyd too...I think they influenced alot of bands

  • don't fall too in love with this sound mainstream will kill it soon over the radio. its sad but true.

  • I am 89 and every time i listen to such good music, I am feeling like back in my adolescence!!!!

  • @Sigurr0s Right on Man! You no doubt can appreciate a great song. No matter who the writer, singer, artist is.

  • @Sigurr0s Yeah sure youre 89.

  • @Sigurr0s keep listen to such good music. it really makes us think about the life

  • @Sigurr0s you're not 89! shut up!....... I'm sorry sir...I really am...

  • @Sigurr0s 89? and you be using the internet? props to you <3

  • All you guy under 20 are all right on. This is what's been missing from rock music. And if music label weren't so intent on making their money back on a new band this would have been the natural evolution of rock music. Thus post rock. FM has been dead in the water for over 40 years. At least in the US. FM music once rocked the world in it's infancy. TheEvaportiaReport is beyond the stratosphere. Great, Great, Band.

  • @SovereignSoul182 I do hope you mean it's been dead for 30 years O.o. The '70s was a great time for music and the '90s wasn't too shabby either. The 80's and then the '00s is what totally killed music. Luckily however, the '10s are making a comeback. Great music like this is definitely bringing back meaningful music. Music lovers rejoice, although crap like Jay-Z tops the charts these days, underground music is still alive and well.

  • @AllThatAwakens The '70s also had disco which was different and got alot of attention of radio station. But I could also say that the '70s was also the beginning of the end of good to great rock music. I don't listen to too much underground music only because I'm not in touch with what is good to my taste and I'm not in touch with what is generally out, or if the case maybe, what is under. Glad someone is reading these post on post-rock.

  • Tears, from my eyes.

  • @abe130013 You and i are a lot alike. I'm 17, and although i try to get others to listen to post rock, they stick to mainstream music, which is sad in my opinion. To all of the other post rock fans, look up EF and Message to Bears. They each have their own sound.

  • @johnathannielson you guys aren't alone haha shit I'm 19 and i love this, stuff, red sparowes, god is an astronaut, russian circles, and godspeed you! black emperor, i try to get lots of friends to like it but they said it needs lyrics but thats the best part it has no lyrics its better without them, the lyrics blind you of what true beauty is, its like taking a beautiful fucking enchilada and smothering it in sour cream robbing it of its taste. But really we are not alone!

  • @mysticsack You clearly haven't heard enough folk music.

  • absolutely breathtaking

  • The pervasiveness of man, anthropocentrism, our uncontrollable urge to expand, not only in number but also in space... Makes me deeply unhappy, no angry, about nearly everything in this world.

  • @weminusyou Feelings like mine. totally the same

  • I'm in the same situation as you MrShadyJeff

i've been listening to this since i was 15 though, and i'm 17 now. Other great bands are:

    Explosions in The Sky

    God is An Astronaut

    Caspian

    Message to Bears

  • @tumbletaytay band:Johnnytwentythree song:Red Bird has the same type voiceover at the start, and then be patient because from 4:09 to 5:30 the song erupts like fireworks...it it phenominal!!!

  • it holds you and hipnoticizes you and make you feel alive

  • I'm only 17 but post-rock is fast becoming my favourite genre, after listening solidly to metal for about 2 years. (Also starting to love "good" hip-hop but that's another story.) Anyway my point is are there any other young'uns listening to this stuff out there, and do you feel a little out of place like me for liking such obscure, stunning music, when everyone's into trends and fulfills a stereotype?

Also to the post-rock vets, what do you think about popular music today? Fave band at all?

  • @MrShadyJeff TER is my favorite, but check out:

    Sleepmakeswaves

    Russian Circles

    Lights out Asia

    This Will Destroy You

    Disappearer

    Like Bells

    El Ten Eleven

If anyone else out there can recommend some more that sounds like this, I'd like to know too!

  • @FairToDredg U forgot Hammock and Sigur Ros (=:

  • @MrShadyJeff I'm 16, and I'm beginning to love the post-rock genre. As well as other genres.

I don't feel out of place, I just enjoy the music.

  • @MrShadyJeff I'm 16 and i try to link all my mates these superb songs yet they never seem to enjoy it as much as I do, listening to post rock is just bliss, Sigur Ros are amazing, as are This Will destroy you and Explosions in the SKy

  • This is my most favorite post-rock band! Every single song is beautiful, but this one is simply divine! Makes me wanna cry every time I listen to it.

  • devine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • uh oh someone missed the like button

  • Is it just me, or does the man's voice break when he says "Columbia, Houston, UHF comm check"? I think it does, but I'm not sure.

  • Amazing!!!!!!

  • where else can i find a song with people speaking like this?

  • @tumbletaytay band:Johnnytwentythree song:Red Bird has the same type voiceover at the start, and then be patient because from 4:09 to 5:30 the song erupts like fireworks...it it phenominal!!!

  • It's a travesty that these guys ever stopped writing music. How will I ever feel space again without them?

  • I am assuming that the title means heavenly music.

  • Music straight from heaven..

  • even the dead can wake up listening to this master piece (:

  • I Listened to it at the Deathfeast this year. Of course not on Stage. Me and a friend of mine were at the party tent at 4pm...we just wanted to talk about former times. We went to the car and I asked him:"when do we wanne go back?"

And he said:"I show you just one song. Listen to it carefully, lay back and after hearing tell me, whether you wanne return to the party-tent or not"

I thought"Nonsense"^^But he was right.I was fully flashed with emotions.normally i listen to brutal death metal.sick..

  • THE MUSIC, Of all human activities, art is by far the most high and deep,

but for something to be considered a true work of art must transcend any historical moment, any ideology or feel, What do you feel when listening to this jewel of contemporary art? melancholy, desolation, despair, anger, passion, tenderness, A work of art transcends all possible adjective. Nothing and no one can rationalize it, so this extremely remote from science..

  • @NastyaAnya Well spoken...

  • @NastyaAnya Art doesn't mean shit. Stop trying to give it meaning.

  • @NastyaAnya im not sure[and i like to play the devil's advocate here] that art is possible without cultural references: we live in a relatavistic universe here. is it possible to judge anything without comparison?

  • @NastyaAnya i don't feel anger from this....although i agree with everything else of your amazing comment

  • it's so good : (

  • ma quanto è bella....

  • my God, that was awesome

  • Best. Band. Ever.

  • "Columbia, Houston, UHF comm. check" ... infinite sadness...

when the music changes tone and the battery begins...tragedy is complete...these guys are awesome

  • They didn't actually disband, they are just having a long-term vacation.

  • .........

  • These guys are so amazing. Does anyone know if any of the members ended up making other bands? How could a band this good break up. I don't get it!

  • One of the finest pieces of music I have ever heard. Most certainly in the "Post-Rock" genre, but even more than that.

    Sensational piece of work.

  • @54minus6 Its sad realt how people will not listen to this kind of beauty. You may say you need to show them but i did and they still hate it just ah i dont know what to say!

  • "Columbia-Houston, the hyde fluid thermal conditioning will not be required today. We'll meet you on the carts"

"Copy Houston hyde fluid thermal conditioning not required and we copy going to the carts"

"?? We got the uhh flight controlling power on ?? And we're working through the rest of ?? "

  • great post rock

  • 10/10

  • seconded.

  • I had an eargasm... That was awesome

  • Is this inspired by the Columbia Space Shuttle disaster?

  • mensana 88: i don't think so. the title refers to some japanese social anxiety disorder.

  • I just ordered this album. I have the follow up, but this song breaks my broken heart!

  • I think so...The begining sounds like it at least , Houston and Colombia talking to each other and then Houston trying to get in contact whit them whit no response. My english is awfull i know -.-

  • @Mensana88 I saw you posted this almost a year ago but never saw if anyway answered. Yes, this is the Columbia Shuttle disaster. It's the last broadcast transmission they had with Houston before burning through the atmosphere.

  • this song is so sad and beautiful at the same time... i really love it!

  • Pretty darn epic

  • I love this song so much

  • superb... thank you

  • fascinating.............

  • haha, i kenw you woudnt like it :)

  • Why do you say this?

  • twat

  • this is pure love

  • This creates something, a little bit like having an atmosphere, and you're the planet.

It describes feeling, without words, only music. Only beats, and riffs - this gives you a sense of atmosphere where you feel high, loved, and almost drunk from the sounds you are hearing.

This is music, like no other.
