@GASowner 'Cosmic Call' and 'Prognoz' from the evpatoria report; 'vagabond' from one our before the trip; 'Executioner Blues' and 'A Tender History In Rust' from do make say think...
this sparks my curiousity-- why are you troubled by this anthropocentrism?
in my humble opinion, it is our race's insatiable desire to expand, to better ourselves, which makes us beautiful. we are not perfect, but seek to live on forever out of our own internal will. is this not the greatest triumph of the human condition?
@dermitderMILFtanzt how the hell can you say something like that, have you even listened to the song ? this isn't some mainstream shit to call it "catchy". it's not supposed to be CATCHY, it's not. you can call it whatever you want, the truth is far from your description. if you call this a cheap remix than you obviously know nothing about music and more than that , you remain untouched by the originality of this masterpiece.

All you guy under 20 are all right on. This is what's been missing from rock music. And if music label weren't so intent on making their money back on a new band this would have been the natural evolution of rock music. Thus post rock. FM has been dead in the water for over 40 years. At least in the US. FM music once rocked the world in it's infancy. TheEvaportiaReport is beyond the stratosphere. Great, Great, Band.
@SovereignSoul182 I do hope you mean it's been dead for 30 years O.o. The '70s was a great time for music and the '90s wasn't too shabby either. The 80's and then the '00s is what totally killed music. Luckily however, the '10s are making a comeback. Great music like this is definitely bringing back meaningful music. Music lovers rejoice, although crap like Jay-Z tops the charts these days, underground music is still alive and well.
@AllThatAwakens The '70s also had disco which was different and got alot of attention of radio station. But I could also say that the '70s was also the beginning of the end of good to great rock music. I don't listen to too much underground music only because I'm not in touch with what is good to my taste and I'm not in touch with what is generally out, or if the case maybe, what is under. Glad someone is reading these post on post-rock.
@abe130013 You and i are a lot alike. I'm 17, and although i try to get others to listen to post rock, they stick to mainstream music, which is sad in my opinion. To all of the other post rock fans, look up EF and Message to Bears. They each have their own sound.

But really we are not alone!
The pervasiveness of man, anthropocentrism, our uncontrollable urge to expand, not only in number but also in space... Makes me deeply unhappy, no angry, about nearly everything in this world.

This creates something, a little bit like having an atmosphere, and you're the planet.
It describes feeling, without words, only music. Only beats, and riffs - this gives you a sense of atmosphere where you feel high, loved, and almost drunk from the sounds you are hearing.

This creates something, a little bit like having an atmosphere, and you're the planet.
It describes feeling, without words, only music. Only beats, and riffs - this gives you a sense of atmosphere where you feel high, loved, and almost drunk from the sounds you are hearing.
This is music, like no other.
