his cheater button was to a servo he had connected to a piece of fabricated metal to fit over a hole in the intake pipe. while everyone has governors so the same intake is measured for the rest of the engine to be based on mechanical skill, the number 24 car was so obviously jerry rigged.

mastershak3416, the way restrictor plate races were built before the cot, it was very hard to pass someone after they had just made a pass on you especially since he wouldn't have had any help from behind. you also have to have someone less experianced than jeff gordon in front of you to make the pass with only 2 laps remaining. junior would have needed a big mistake to pass jeff even with help since johnson was lurking there ready to help jeff.
