Gmail - Howto filter incoming emails

What I want to know is how do you make the Trash folder in Gmail automatically delete its contents immediately, after the filter has "deleted" them. With the filter option there is no option to "empty trash" after deleting. Is there a syntax for filter like "is:spam", maybe "is:trash" that deletes all contents of the trash... automatically.

You can also filter multiple sender in one filter like in done with comma in email. I couldn't get it to work so hope Jimmy can.

hotmail filters were just powerless at once.. some spams use Fake IDs to overpass filters.. i don't get them no more.. good ting... you need to be specific though.....

you can, there's a "doesn't have" option. Still, that wouldn't really work, because you wouldn't get important Google notices when people wanted to add you or something wrong happened, and if you wanted to sign up for something, the filter would delete the invitation mail.

look in %appdata%/mozilla/firefox (enter than in your address bar in any folder. They probably just made a new profile.

you can block people by email address but the limit the amount of people you can block. That's about the only filter they have and they have a really terrible spam filter. I get tons of nigerian phising scams and lotto scams everyday there.

Usually when a YouTuber has an open or close in their video it annoys me, like sitcoms. There's exceptions. Val's Art Diary has an open that never gets old for some reason. Your open and close with this video serves a purpose and reminds people how to support your efforts, so that's really cool. =) Are you gonna go back and add the open & close to all your tutorials?

The problem I have is that I will get at least 10 spam emails a day and they all have different email addresses so I can filter them like in this video.

most likely its a fake email, and forwarding it back will only cause smtp error emails that the email doesn't exist to get sent to you. If it ends up in your inbox, the best thing to do is continually mark the particular email as spam. If its spam for a certain product, or contains more specific unique words (that only that email would have) filter it under the "has the words" region.

This doesn't work all the time since some sites wont allow the + in the email field when you sign up, but in those cases you can use a combination of .'s and AlTeRnAtE cApS in your gmail user name, and are able to filter that. Its great for stoping potential spam, and you never have to give out your real email except to friends.

you can use me+anything @gmail. com to give to websites incase they give out your email or link to it.

When you get spammed, or dont want to recieve emails anymore, you can block that particular address in the "to" section.

the "to" option is only if you have other email servers forwarding the email to gmail. For example my webserver forwards emails I receive to my gmail account. I block webmaster at jimmyr dot com from being in the "to" field because usually people send a lot of automated spam.

Hmm, I've used gmail since it came out in beta where you had to get invites (got my from The Screen Savers, good ole techtv), but I've never seen the filter link.

I will deff use the filter for sub. invites and things like that.
