Yes, the United States lags behind. We need a groundswell of support. I wrote Mayor Daley's Navy Pier Authority and Office of Special Events suggesting they contact pole studios here in Chicago for family friendly exhibitions at the pier and local blues/rock neighborhood festivals. Write your local festival authority so they get used to the idea pole that dancing is something regular folks do and like to watch. I also wrote Bally's fitness asking them to include pole in their aerobics classes.
