@byebyenow1 it does factor in enough to be considered, Most recruits from the south choose to go to southern schools. You can see that on maxpreps. The majority from SC stayed in southern schools. Players are most likely to stay close to home, AND this is a targeting strategy of D1 college teams. Having fewer teams in the region means there isnt the same amount of players needed from the area as down south.
