the umpire should have NEVER inched towards the coach. That just made things worse. he should have made his ejection, stood there calmly while the coach yelled and when he had heard enough he should have walked away while the other umpire got between them. when you talk back to a coach and get upset the situation just gets worse. The umpire talks to and watches the coach leave which made it even worse.
I totally agree with the Umpire ejecting this poor excuse for a coach. But the timing was wrong. It kind of made him (the umpire), look like the aggressor by ejecting the coach with his back turned.
It could of been that the coach said something right as he was leaving. They say that the worst word that will get you kicked out by the ump is "you", and he pretty much said that "magic word" as he was turning his back.
That coach is a punk, He had every opportunity to leave and he apparently said something that the umpire took offense to. I love it. I'd run him, too. Then when he came back out on the field and tried to start up again and made a physical threat, I would make sure he had a suspension. Who is talking? Is that Macho Man Randy Savage's wife?
Just found out I am on Youtube! I was an injury fill-in for a SAL umpire that night and the next. Top 2nd Inn. I ran the Riverdogs catcher(#9)for arguing a 3-2 check-swing/dropped 3rd-strike then throwing his helmet on his way to first. Torre's was pretty smooth but he used the "you cost me the game" line. Should've ran him then. Instead, I told him he was ready to go back in. He said he wasn't. So I ran him.
Fradycakes-Look again, Torre was the one getting backed up.
I have seen many coaches insult the heck out of an umpire while remaining calm. I can guarantee you that the the umpire told the coach enough, get back to the dugout.... and kept repeating it. Coach kept going, so coach got sent home. May not look bad, but umpires are not going to sit out there all day and hold the game up.
Jetmod - if you have half a lick of sense you would understand sportsmanship. You do not have the guts to become an umpire yourself so you result to throwing insults at the rest of us. Coaches do NOT have the right to come and yell insults or other personal comments at anyone. just ask the league commissioners who say the same thing. Go catch a clue!

this guy should never have been tossed umpires there is nothing wrong with a coach yelling in yalls faces because you know what umpires are always wrong when talking to a coach and yall can't prove anything so lay off UMPIRES I HATE YOU GUYS THROUGH ME FROM A HIGH SCHOOL GAME FOR THROWING A GLOVE THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT
When we say "that's enough, play ball" and he insists on continuing, he's gone. Bottom line.
When I wear the blue, I demand respect and sportsmanship. If I don't get it you're going to suffer the consequences. If you ever become an umpire, you'll understand.
YOUR WRONG, at ANY level, throwing a glove in relation to a call by an umpire,AU-TO-MA-TIC ejection, And "always" wrong? On a very close play, one side is happy, the other pissed, thinking they got hosed, yet have no clue, whether the call was right or wrong. So, until you sign up with your local officiating group, and see what its like, you dont know how the game is officiated, the protocol. When a coach comes out on an umpire, who knows he made the call, the coach gets very little leeway.

This manager is a wanna-be Lou Pinella or Earl Weaver. Look how he turns his hat around, as if to say "now you're gonna get it." What a classes punk.

I got a kick out of the hicks yelling "kill him!". Don't they know baseball is only a game?

I know it. People have no respect for umpires and I don't get why. It's a tough job, and people don't understand that.
I'd like to see the people yelling that put on the blue and see how well they do.

@bagpiper2005 respect works both ways dude. YOu have to earn respect. If you cant make the basic calls, you don't deserve respect.
