I know what momentum, inertia and slipstreaming are but all I am saying is that I'm not quite sure about the scientific accuracy of the benefit in acceleration that results in GT5. And the major factor here (and with slipstreaming) is windresistance or the lack thereof, better said.

It seems ok to me but it depends on the aero coeff of the cars and the speed of the cars. In my experience in even slower cars, I was able to use the momentum gained from the slipstream to pass very easily. actually now that I watch the video again, it wasn't drafting, it was late braking that made the 599 seem to be standing still
gt 5 is a true simulator, but a game's a game which means it's not going to help you pass a test. driving in a game is way different from reality. although driving gt 5 feels really good i played prologue it was way too fun. you might get bored playing any other racing game, but when i play gt 5 prologue it felt so real and it didn't get boring. really if you have time play this game only complaint i have is that you have to use x n square to brake and accelerate. also the analog stick to steer.
@BLACKSTAR237 no shit but only by having literally 5 times the content. This game only takes up 3gb of space, forza 3 has 2 8.4 gb DVD discs full. GT5 though completely dwarfs Forza 3 now. It has way more tracks cars, monumentally better physics, and more features, plus it takes up the entire 50 gb bluray disc so who's laughing now

Even if it's rushed, it's fuckin amazing and it takes a small person to really focus on the small negatives instead of thinking about the huge and small positives that overwhelm this game, just because they took so long to make. well.. I'm not trying to persuade you.. :) but as i see it, the graphics are incredible and the physics are great.. If you don't think so, that's fine.. :)
You have to finish the game to race with convertible cars right? Because I think everytime I chose one I could only race with the non convertible version.
I drive this car with everything on stock except the tires.

Lol the moment he started overtaking every single bit of adventage that the drafting gave him was gone. The wind is hitting him full on again.
Slipstreams don't allow you to fly past another car if both are going full throttle.

You have to finish the game to race with convertible cars right? Because I think everytime I chose one I could only race with the non convertible version.

yes it's replay mode, and i think you can't remove those things completely only minimize the screentimer and map+ gear and speed
