  • One of my favorite movies. :)

  • It's a satire, it's meant to go from extreme to extreme.. Satires are meant to ridicule people and society's downfall.

  • 3- Angel is stronger than your loved one because when she stages a moment to make her dreams come true, she has the courage to deal with it, she doesn't run away and hide afterwards. This person is so insecure, afraid of real and its unknown. Living a simple and rough life is always better than dreaming a great one."

The 3 of us feel better since the secret is out and I am impressed by the analysis of Angel by my 14 years old daughter.

What is every young boy's dream? Success? Fame? Or is it...?

  • 2- Some scenes show reality transformed how she wants it to be. When she runs after him and declares her love, this is how the moment is in her mind, not what the moment really was. She doesn't love but stages romance in her life. Sincere when she lies, she manipulates and hurts people without being aware of it because self centered, cannot feel one's pain. But she does more damage to herself. After her death the film ends with "Tell me about her life? -Which life? The one she lived or dreamt ?

  • I had a secret. I just told my children about it. The youngest said "I saw you were not well. You look tired in the morning. I feared much worse than that, I feared you were ill." The eldest said "This person hurt you and didn't realized how awful it was, still is. He is as Angel. She lives between dream and reality, afraid that real could be less dreamy than what she makes up in her mind. She has precise ideas how her life should be, she stages events, pretends to love, believes her own lies.

  • I think this film is supposed to be something of a fanciful love-letter to the days of old Hollywood... classic films like 'Gone With the Wind' and 'Camille' which are a bit of a rarity in movie-making today. It's satirical, yes, but not in a malicious or hostile way. More like an homage.

  • uh it is a parody, let me guess, yr american?

I respect u as a person, but i'm not respecting your comment at all!Words like"I'll love you till i die" are not stupid and people say them all the time,to make each other happy!!!That's the bigges thing in the world!!!!And this words are always actuall./So plz, think about it.Thank's.

  • its not a complete parody supposed to half and half

  • out in uk cinemas this summer (2008)

  • jesus what a cliche.. "i loved you since the day i first saw you"-i'll go on loving you till the day I die.. come on..

  • the movie is a parody. It's supposed to be like that... This movie is hilarious

  • i think you have somewhat missed the irony of it! which is very sad if you have seen the movie...

  • oh...dear...i know THAT feeling....

  • such a cliche movie lol

  • I don't think it's a cliche, it's based on a novel and that novel was published 50 years ago.

  • so? that doesn't mean the work isn't a cliche. Just another cheesy romance novel. "i'll go on loving you till the day I die" if I haven't heard that a million times

  • I'm a big Ozon fan and I hope this becomes his masterpiece. The Rampling voiceover is great and Romola Garai looks great as well.

  • Lot of thanks for uploading this trailer, the movie and the actors look great. I don't know if we're going to see it, here in Argentina. I sure hope so. One question : Is the movie english or french-speaking ?

  • I hope the movie opens here in Argentina because I'm dying to see Michael Fassbender on the big screen!!!

  • English.

  • Romola Garai looks hot and the movie seems definitively worth-watching. Is this the definitve trailer ? If so, why isn't Charlotte Rampling part of the clip ?

  • Thank you! Do you also have a clip with Charlotte Rampling, besides just this voice-over?
