Have you ever looked up the practice of horse slaughter? horses are starved to death and whiped in the process, at least they arent whiped when there starved in the feilds.
If they have water in that field then they'll last much longer then one month. I don't understand why you think it'd be okay for horses to be left out in a field starving for much longer then a month. So you think the difference is at least they aren't out in a field being WHIPPED, where as in a slaughter house they would be. Do you even realize what the closing down of the slaughter houses have done to the industry?

There is no money any more within this industry because the prices in which actually determined many simple riding horses were actually slaughter houses, sadly enough. Actually, no it can't. If they are old and hurting, then get a vet to come and put them to sleep peacefully. Slaughterhouses cram them in close together and torture them until they're dead and then cut them up, sell the meat, and make glue out of their hooves. If you had a horse and it was about to die would you like it to have a nice peaceful afterlife or not at all? Slaughter is cruel for ALL animals, and I will do all that I can to stop it.
@Lilly7548 Some people can't afford to take their horses to the vet that need to be put down. It costs money. Not all slaughter houses are so cruel. Most are humane. People just do not like the reality of it... just the fact that horses are killed. Just remember, if slaughter houses are shut down in the US, then what do you think people will do? They will find slaughter houses out of the country, like Mexico. Then the horse will put through a long painful trailer ride and then suffer more!!!!!
@collegecrunchies yes, but the people have paid vet bills, food bills, boarding fees, and so on all throughout the horses life. They sacrificed WAY more money over the years than it would cost to just have a quick and painless death by a shot or something. I still don't think that slaughter houses are that humane. Really I find all this save the horses from slaugter ridiculous- some horses have no option! Realistically there are not enough people who are willing to feed an old, or crippled horse until it's dieing day- just facts- nevermind the vet bills- I'd rather a horse go to slaughter than stay in the hands of someone who can't care for it- the horses suffer when slaughter is not an option- keep in mind these horse owners wont pay for euthanasia- I have seen too many suffer- slaughter is a good thing

Too many people are turning a blind eye to what happens to horses that are run through an auction. It's so sad to read about a horse that has it's mane braided and is washed and brushed only to be bought by a kill buyer.

I just realized that I've never taken a video of my own horse. 'Course it would be "horse eating grass..." How did you get yours to frolic and play? Maybe if I bring a horse eating monster out to the pasture he'll get lively...hmmm maybe a tarp?!

i love this video it makes a point unlike all of the others iv seen and the sence you get when they run and look so happy and what makes it better is that the horses are comfortable around you because there your own i mean my family owns 4 horses cupid(4th leader)dantea(3rd leader)forever(bows mare) bow (herd leader i think we should all apprecitate horses they deserve it becasue of the awsome history they have im definatly with you on stopping horse slaughter and pain

Too many people are turning a blind eye to what happens to horses that are run through an auction. It's so sad to read about a horse that has it's mane braided and is washed and brushed only to be bought by a kill buyer.

I just heard about horse slaughter in the news about 10 minuttes ago and I was disgusted to hear what these beautiful creatures go though. IT'S SOOOOO FR****N INHUMANE!!!!!!!!!! If you know of an organization that's against this cruel act please pm me.
