Dancing puts much more strain on floor supports than steady weight. Churches are not designed with dancing in mind, plain and simple.

Trusses have a certain design live load built into them. As you can see the load presented to the trusses was a severe load from the jumping crowd. You get 20+ ppl all jumping in sync and you have a force MANY times greater than what it was designed for. It's not shocking at all. He said they've had many concerts before? It's not why but more of a question of when then. I'm sure the engineer/designer didn't factor in dancing load in front of an alter in a church. I wouldn't.

one of my best friends was jumping and fell in the hole!! she got 2 weeks out of school because she was all cut up and brused!! we hung out alot those 2 weeks because just before that i was hit by a car!!
