Why are those trebles at the end wearing coffee filters around their necks? Do they think God cares? Or is this just the Anglican/Episcopal church rolling in its self-proclaimed "grand style" again?
:-) They do look like coffee filters now you mention it. I don't think they wear them for God. It's simply a uniform, and one with centuries of tradition behind it. Even the clothes you're wearing in your vids is your uniform.

He obviously does not know English Church history and the Oxford Movement. By the way, Anglican = English. I am a Scots Episcopalian, not an Anglican, therefore. Graeme.
As a confirmed Betjeman-fan I just loved this. A heady mixture of Betjeman's poetic-lyrical voice and words, ecstatic singing by trebles and wonderful Norfolk churches raises this nostalgic expatriate's pulse-rate....

I think that was when Wymondham Abbey Choir was directed by Maxwell Betts (who wrote an article is last week's "Church Times").

Father Cooling from Martham used to take services for us at St John's Church in Yarmouth in the 1970s.
