  • What a changed country we now live in, full of muggers and pc lunatics.

  • Too good for the modern C of E.

  • If it's good enough for Laura Barton, it's good enough for me.

I used to deliver his newspaper when he lived in Wantage.

  • I like the bit at 3:05 about the rector's model loco!

  • I think that was when Wymondham Abbey Choir was directed by Maxwell Betts (who wrote an article is last week's "Church Times").

Lovely 32' Reed on the pedal organ :-)

Father Cooling from Martham used to take services for us at St John's Church in Yarmouth in the 1970s.

  • Betjeman at his best.

  • BRILLIANT!

  • Quite Superb!! Thank You.

  • Beautifu programme isn't it. There's lots more of it!

  • As a confirmed Betjeman-fan I just loved this. A heady mixture of Betjeman's poetic-lyrical voice and words, ecstatic singing by trebles and wonderful Norfolk churches raises this nostalgic expatriate's pulse-rate....

  • It makes me nostalgic, and I never lived in those times!
